The Breakfast Leader Is Also Helping Families Stretch Dollars When Enjoying Dinner Together With a Kids Eat Free Offer From 4-10 p.m. Every Day from August 1 Through September 25

Starting August 1, the buttery goodness of Criss-Croissants® ― croissant pastry dough waffled to a golden brown, filled with craveable, sweet or savory ingredients and found only at IHOP®  Restaurants ― is back in three new flavors for a limited time. Known for serving signature, freshly made breakfast creations any time of day, every day, IHOP invites families to make the most of the final days of summer by enjoying Criss-Croissants, world-famous Buttermilk Pancakes, hand-seasoned 100% USDA beef burgers and more for dinner ― now with the added bonus of Kids Eat Free* from 4-10 p.m. every day throughSeptember 25 at participating IHOP restaurants.
Criss-Croissants ―  the one-of-a-kind dish that revolutionized the breakfast experience and delighted guests when first introduced last year ― are made from 27 layers of flakey croissant pastry dough that is waffled and stuffed with new, mouth-watering flavor combinations like:

  • Salted Caramel and Banana – cool dulce de leche cream and sliced, fresh bananas followed with a drizzle of salted caramel sauce
  • Strawberries and Sweet Cream Cheese – filled with sweet cream cheese and topped with sweet, glazed strawberries
  • Spinach & Roasted Red Pepper – fluffy scrambled eggs, fresh spinach and roasted red peppers topped with white Cheddar and parmesan cheeses and a drizzle of hollandaise
“For almost six decades, IHOP has welcomed families into our restaurants to enjoy the freshly made breakfast foods, beverages and more they want at any time of day, every day, and can be found only at IHOP,” said Kirk Thompson, senior vice president, marketing for IHOP. “We’re proud to create dishes that delight our guests and tap into their food and beverage cravings; Criss-Croissants, made from 27 layers of buttery pastry dough that is waffled, stuffed and topped with incredible flavor combinations like bananas and salted caramel or scrambled eggs, spinach, roasted red peppers and two kinds of cheese, perfectly demonstrates our promise to always serve guests something special at IHOP.”
Busy families preparing for the start of school can take time to enjoy dinner together and have money left over for backpacks and books thanks to a limited time offer where kids 12 and under eat free with the purchase of adult entrées. The free kid’s meal offer is available every day from 4-10 p.m. through September 25 at participating IHOP restaurants and includes dishes from the “Made for Fun” kid’s menu, including the new Cheesy Cheese Pizza, which starts with an “only-at-IHOP” Criss-Croissant crust that’s topped with tangy marinara sauce and melted Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses.
Other kid’s menu favorites like the Silver 5 ― five of IHOP’s silver dollar-sized world-famous Buttermilk Pancakes served with a scrambled egg and hickory-smoked bacon ― and Jr. Chicken and Waffles ― two all-white meat chicken strips paired with two Belgian waffle quarters and served with whipped butter and choice of dipping sauce ― mean there’s lots of breakfast, lunch and dinner foods for kids to choose from.
“IHOP and our franchisees know that family members want to spend more time with each other, and with Kids Eat Free from 4-10 p.m. daily, parents can make memories with their children while savoring the made-to-order signature foods and beverages IHOP is known for ―  and put the money they save toward all those school supplies,” continued Thompson.

My Thoughts

I love when IHop brings back Kids Eat Free! It really is a way to save money and one of the many reasons we love going to IHop. The kids menu has a variety of selections for kids, if they want breakfast or a lunch/dinner meal.

They also have a new delicious Criss-Croissants to try. I tried the strawberries and sweet cream and got a combo with it of eggs, hash browns, and two sausage links. They have a variety of combos to choose from.

I really enjoyed the Cross-Croissant more than I thought I would. I asked the server how it was made, and they use the croissant batter and put it in the a waffle iron. This gives it the waffle look with a flaky texture when you eat. It was really good. Not quite the flavor of a croissant, but it was unique. I liked the texture it added while tasting the sweet cream in the center and strawberries on the top.

IHop is always coming up with fun creations to keep breakfast items fresh, as well we bringing me back for more items to try. So far I've really enjoyed all the items they've put a unique spin on. Especially the Cross-Croissants. Head to your local IHop and give them a try.

Double Dipped French Toast - Now at IHop

The end of summer just got a little sweeter with new Double-Dipped French Toast from IHOP® Restaurants. This twist on the breakfast classic features soft brioche bread first dipped in vanilla batter, then dipped a second time in a coating of corn flakes and oatmeal and griddled perfectly to a crispy golden-brown. See this unique, delicious treat by visiting:http://www.ihop.com/about-ihop/tv-commericals
Guests can choose one of two flavor combinations to top off this hand-crafted treat:
·         Cinnamon Sugar Double-Dipped French Toast – Soft brioche bread is first dipped in vanilla batter, then dipped a second time in crispy corn flakes and oatmeal, griddled, and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and whipped topping.

·         Lemon Strawberry Double-Dipped French Toast – Soft brioche bread is first dipped in vanilla batter, then dipped a second time in crispy corn flakes and oatmeal, griddled, then topped with cool lemonade cream and glazed strawberries.
This newest take on the breakfast classic is backed by a long history of French Toast favorites from IHOP restaurants, including mouthwatering Stuffed French Toast and the popular Brioche French Toast.
“Our Double Dipped French Toast offers a variety of flavors and textures giving our guests a fresh, enjoyable and unique experience with each bite, “ said Marie Grimm, Vice President, Menu Development & Innovation, International House of Pancakes, LLC. “We’ve spent over a year dipping, grilling, and tasting new ways to improve and innovate this breakfast classic—and I know guests will agree after every bite of this crispy treat that it was time well spent.”

My Thoughts
These two new additions to the iHop menu for the end of summer are delicious! They have two new varieties to the french toast menu:
Cinnamon-sugar double dipped

 and lemon strawberry double dipped.

I tried the cinnamon sugar and I was very pleased. It really hit the spot if you're having a sweet tooth. It came with two pieces and I also got a side of bacon, eggs, and hash browns for a decent price. I was certainly stuffed by the time I finished the meal.
The kids got the strawberry lemon to try. The lemon sauce is very sweet and tart at the same time, giving your taste buds a little ride.
The french toast was light and fluffy with a little bit of a crunch on the outside. The type of bread they used was very good and didn't get soggy when I applied some syrup to it.
I really liked them and plan to go back and get more before these promotion is gone. A wonderful addition to their menu. Don't miss it before it's gone.

ThinkThin Protein & Fiber Hot Oatmeal

While making breakfast plans with the talk show host may prove to be difficult, thinkThin, known for its nutritious and delicious high-protein, low-sugar bars, is heating up mornings with the debut of its ThinkThin Protein & Fiber Hot Oatmeal.
Made with a super grain blend of whole rolled oats, steel cut oats and quinoa, thinkThin Protein & Fiber Hot Oatmeal is sold as a multi-pack box of six packets or a single serving bowl for a convenient, nutritious option that can be enjoyed just about anywhere. It is available in four enjoyable flavors: Farmer’s Market Berry Crumble; Madagascar Vanilla, Almonds, Pecans; Original Sprouted Grains (box only) and Honey Peanut Butter (bowl only). Each serving contains 10g of protein, 5g of fiber and is 200 calories or less. They are available at select grocery stores and online now.

My thoughts:

I love thinkThin Hot Oatmeal.  I have tried three different flavors, and my favorite is Farmer's Market Berry Crumble.  It is loaded with berries in every bite.  Although I do like the other flavors also.  My daughter and son also like to eat one before school.  Which is a great jump start to their day.

If you are looking for a great, healthy nutritious breakfast, this is it.  So easy to make.  Just pull back and take off the top.  Fill water to the half cup, than microwave forty five to sixty seconds.  Let stand to cool down, and than eat and enjoy!
