Give your Feet a Break with Keysocks!

Mom jeans might have been cool back in the 80s, but most women today prefer current trends like skinny jeans worn with ballet flats, ankle boots or a cute low cut sneaker. The only problem with today's looks is that it is hard to wear socks with these shoe styles. Sure you can try the no-show footies, but after a few minutes of pushing a stroller or chasing kids around the playground they are bunched up around your toes and useless. Going bare foot in shoes can lead to sweat, blisters and general discomfort. But for once, looking stylish doesn't mean you have to suffer annoyance or pain. 

Keysocks are a new sock that covers the bottom of your foot, your heel and pulls up the leg so it won't slip off, with a keyhole cut out on the top of the foot so the sock remains invisible inside your shoe, just like a no-show footie but with more stability.

My Thoughts:

Keysocks are by far one of the coolest new trends in the fashion world. It is difficult to find the right socks with so many on the market, along with tons of brand new shoes and pants to fit them with. Some are far too big, too long, tight, itchy, and not snug enough. Finally creator Shelby McKee bestowed upon us a trail blazing design! Whether you want to rock those fancy flats or heels, or relax in your favorite moccasins, Keysocks has you covered. I got to try both the Barely There and the Classic Standard Light in black. Both were amazing, light weight and comfy!

The first version I tried was the Barely There. The color is a soft tan/nude and they are oh so soft! Being someone who loves to wear flats in the Spring and Summer, but can't stand blisters, these are going to be my new go to. They're made of 99% nylon, and 1% spandex. On the heel is an adorable embroidered key and a quote on the bottom of the Keysock that says "The Key to my Sole". They fit sizes 5-12. 

The other Keysock variety I tried was the Classic in black. These felt more reminiscent of a regular sock, but light enough to be worn in the Spring/Summer when you need some support on your feet during cooler days or nights. They had a nice knitted texture and were a bit longer than the Barely There. The material is 32% Cofee Charcoal, 48% Rayon, 18% Nylon, and 2% Spandex. As the packaging recommends, these socks should not be tumbled dried, bleached, or ironed. Hand washed separately only in warm water. These fit sizes 6-11 and calf sizes less than 17 inches in circumference.   

As you can see from the last picture, while wearing Keysocks they were able to mesh perfectly with any shoe! They were not bulky fitting nor did they slip. I love the feeling of them on my calfs and upper leg. It seemed to help with circulation. I tend to have foot cramps after being on my feet for long periods and found Keysocks to be perfect for helping me with that. I'd highly recommend them for yourself or a loved one!

The Perfect Springtime Accessory- Sunglasses from Sunglass Warehouse.

Spring Break is a time where the words “chill” and “sleep” are embedded into our heads. It’s also a time where all the Midwesterners decide to head down south or west. I mean, what is Spring Break without sunshine?

I was able to try two different styles from the website. I will attach my thoughts of each below.

These gorgeous aviator shades are in the style, Royale. The site description says "We aren't all born into royalty, but at least we can look like it in these oversized mirrored aviators with a sleek, matte metal frame. Roll out the red carpet!". 

I certainly agree that these sunglasses are lightweight, fun, and perfect for the outdoors. You almost feel like you do not have sunglasses on at all. I loved the oversized frames and the color is beautiful. Whenever I look at them, they gleam a fantastic shade of pink, blue and even green when the sun hits it. Due to how large they are, they do move a little bit when you bend over, but because of the nose pads, they won't fall off! They also provide 99% UVA/UVB Sun Protection. Overall, Royale is perfect for all my outdoor adventures. At only $11.95, who can go wrong?

My little brother is sporting the Ripcord style from, Sunglass Warehouse. As the site describes: "You need something durable and polarized. These shades get the job done". He can attest to that statement. My brother is very picky about the fit and size of his shades, and as you can see, these were perfect for him!

He loved the polarized, non-mirrored lenses and the way they secure themselves on his ears. The plastic frame makes them comfortable to wear for long periods of time without feeling heavy. You see sharply with these sunglasses and like Royale, they provide 99% UVA/UVB Sun Protection. No need to fear the glare of the sun with these bad boys! The only critique shared was the rubbery ends did pull on his ears when they were being taken off. It did not hurt, but made removal a little uncomfortable. However, despite that, these are his new go to shades! So, how much for these awesome polarized sunglasses? Only $12.95!

My Thoughts

I heard about LulaRoe about six months ago. First it was their leggings and I wanted to give them a try. The company gears their clothes toward people of all sizes and the clothing is super soft and breathable. My first items from LulaRoe were leggings, an Irma shirt, and a Randy shirt. Since then I've added another Randy and a Classic T to my collection.

I've always liked their dresses and was thrilled to get a chance to try one. The dress I got to try is called the Nicole. It's soft like all their clothes and very flattering to my body. It gives women that wide hip look, that I happen to have naturally, but the dress doesn't make it so obvious like other dresses. The pattern also hides those area that are undesirable.

I can pair this with a belt around my waist to dress it up a bit. The dress was comfortable and not bothersome while wearing it. Before the skirt flairs out, there is an elastic around the center, but it wasn't uncomfortable. It didn't irritate me and make me mess with it all day. It was such a comfortable dress that I didn't mind putting it on in the morning and doing housework, instead of my usual yoga pants and workout tank. Yes, it was that comfortable.

I loved the dress and the pattern and can't think of anything I didn't like. LulaRoe is a consultant based business and you have to join the consultants groups on Facebook or find them on Instragram to purchase. Each consultant keeps an inventory at home and they don't know what they are going to get. Each print is only printed 1000 times, so it's almost like a treasure hunt to find a print at time. At this time you can not buy LulaRoe off their website, only with a consultant in person or through the mail.
