My Thoughts
A Good Woman is hard to find is a thriller that centers around a woman named Sarah Collins. She's a young widow and single mother of two small children who can't let her husband's death go. The deeper she delves into his murder, the more secrets she uncovers. She finds herself caught up in drug deals and has crime bosses out to get her. But she's not easy to take down, and she will shock even these hardcore criminals with how far she's willing to go for vengeance.
This was such an awesome thriller flick. So great, in fact, the lead actress Sarah Bolger won the Screamfest Award for best actress. During this quiet lull, Luke Padmore once again appears, cutting a path through all those that get in his way as he heads for Raegar’s Mill and Casi. My Thoughts Luke Padmore is causing mayhem again in this horrific third installment of The Slasher Experience. In this installation, Casi is about to be released from the hospital, but she's plagued by dreams of Luke coming after her. Her powers tell her this is more than just a dream, and the spirit of her murdered friend backs up her instincts. Her brother Tom is also struggling, but finds strength in the arms of his older lover, vixen attorney Laura. The siblings hope to reconnect with their friend Zach and end the murderous rampage once and for all. This was an awesome closing to a great horror trilogy. As with the first two books, there are many unique death scenes that will bring to mind some of the greatest slasher films of the 80s. There were even a few scenes that got me emotional because I've gotten rather attached to some of these characters. The ending brought with it a shocking reveal I wasn't expecting. Despite all the carnage, it is a satisfying ending with a possibility of more to come in the future.

My Thoughts Anyone who enjoys a good horror/thriller flick will love this collection of cult classics that are now available on Blu-ray from Mill Creek. With his set, you are getting a taste of three different films that have been terrifying viewers for decades. The films came out great on Blu-ray and watching them in High Definition makes seeing them again even more fantastic. Everything is so vivid, especially the gory scenes. The set includes three fantastic films: I Know What You Did Last Summer - A group of friend are involved in an hit and run, and now someone is out for revenge. When A Stranger Calls - A babysitter is tormented by a crazy murderer. Vacancy - When a couple break down, they wind up at a scary motel that specializes in murder.
I just loved this Blu-Ray set. Each movie is a 5-star film that horror fans everywhere will appreciate. Getting them all for one low price also makes this collection a great value for the money. You can grab a copy for yourself on Mill Creek's website.

My Thoughts Luke is at it again in the horrific second installment of The Slasher Experience. The evil spirit who wiped out an entire camp has now taken possession of one the local police, and he's out for blood again. However, this time there is a demon slayer on this trail, so things may not be as easy as he expected. He also has a strange psychic condition with Casi, one of the lone survivors of the original massacre. It's an inconvenience, but it doesn't stop Luke from bathing Tarken's Glen in blood. This was an awesome sequel to a great horror series. I really enjoyed the added dimension of having someone hunting the killer. As with the first book, there are many unique death scenes that will bring to mind some of the greatest slasher films of the 80s. Each character also has a lot of depth, and you will feel for them when they meet their end, even if you only knew them for a few pages. The ending left us with the possibility of seeing another book in the future, and I can't wait to see what direction the author takes it next.

My Thoughts The Slasher Experience centers around a group of teens who head out for what is supposed to be a fun weekend. They purchased tickets to a campground hosting an exciting event where they can live out scenes from their favorite slasher film. The only problem is, someone is bringing the game to life, and the bodies piling up aren't movie props. With campers dropping like flies, it's hard to guess who the real killer might be. Even Casi, who has some unique physic abilities, doesn't know who to trust as one by one the people around her meet a gruesome end. If you're a fan of of the horror genre, you're going to love this book! It flows like an eighties horror movie, and the scenes play out in your mind like a screenplay as you read the vivid imagery. All the characters have depth, even when they are killed in the same chapter where they are introduced. There is also more to it than simply a gruesome gore fest. Though, who doesn't enjoy that? There are also paranormal aspects and elements of mystery. The thrilling conclusion leaves you wanting more. Luckily, Slasher 2 is slated for an October release. I got a sneak peek, and it's just as good as the first. Truly, the Slasher series is horror at it's finest, and has rekindled my fondness for the old cult classics of the eighties.
