Masterpiece Mystery!: Unforgotten, Season 1 When a body is discovered in a derelict building, DCI Cassie Stuart (Nicola Walker, Last Tango in Halifax), one of the Met's smartest detectives, must untangle lies that have been covered up for nearly forty years. With her partner, DI Sunil "Sunny" Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar, The Indian Doctor) they narrow the list to four suspects. Each of them has something to hide. As their deceptions are discovered, the people they love most begin to wonder what else they might be capable of. Nothing in this case is black and white. Can you ever really know the people closest to you? What secrets have they buried?

My Thoughts

Unforgotten is a UK series centering around of group of investigators working on a cold case.  It turns out the crime has links to the police. Following a trail that leads back to 1989, the team find themselves working against the very group they thought they were a part of. This first season includes six exciting episodes. 

1- Cassie and Sunny open a cold case when a skeleton is found in an old building.

2- Hints to the victims murder are found in his diary.

3-Cassie and Sunny visit a priest to find clues.

4-Marks on the body indicate the victim was tortured. 

5- As the team zeros in the culprit, a priest makes a surprising revelation.

6- Shock ripples through everyone as the truth is revealed, causing one young girl to go into preterm labor.
