My Thoughts
Murdoch Mysteries is one of my favorite crime based shows. I love period drama, and I love learning about criminal investigations. This show combines both in a late 1890 - early 1900 setting. You'll learn how forensics experts solved the cases before they had the help of computers and DNA. The cast of characters are funny, interesting, and diverse. This season includes eleven new episodes.
Murdoch and the Tramp - A comic and killed and Charlie Chaplin might've been the real target.
Rough and Rowdy Ways - Brackenreid's son is wanted for murder
Code M for Murdoch - A strange telegram arrived and they suspect its from James Pendrick.
Shock Value - After an eletrocuted body is found, a pair of mad scientists are suspected.
Murder Checks In - A relaxing getaway at a county inn goes wrong when a guest is murdered.
The Ministry of Value - Controversial relationship and out in the open and Watts and Jack are unnerved.
Murdoch Escape Room - The team is tracked in a puzzle room and it they don't solve it, they will die.
The Dominion of New South Mimico - Murdoch investigates a murder at an estate that declarerd itself its own state.
The .38 Murdoch Special - A fire is a pawn shop reveals stolen opium.
Everything is Broken Part 1 - Murdoch's former lover is found dead in a vat of lye.
Everything is Broken Part 2 - Murdoch learns the murdered woman may have born him a son.
This is such a great series. All of episodes are a bit on the dark side, but they are always tempered with humor. Both the costumes and the sets are realistic and really help to paint a picture of the time period. This series is definitely a refreshing switch from the norm, and I'm looking forward to watching the next season. If you want to take the advantage of a full set of amazing old world stories, than this is the box set for you. You can order Murdoch Mysteries: Season 14 on DVD or Blu-ray on Acorn Media or Amazon.
