Investigator Alexa Crowe can’t help fighting the good fight – whether it’s solving murders or combating the small frustrations of everyday life. Fearless and unapologetic, Alexa’s unique skills and insights into the darker quirks of human nature allow her to provoke, comfort and push the right buttons as she unravels the truth behind the most baffling crimes.
As Alexa unmasks the hidden passions and dangerous secrets lurking in the energetic, ever-changing city of Melbourne, she is ably assisted by ambitious twenty-something Madison Feliciano (Ebony Vagulans, The Furies) –who is not so quietly learning from the best – and her former boss, Detective Inspector Kieran Hussey (Bernard Curry, Pretty Little Liars, Wentworth), who enlists Alexa on his trickiest cases.

My Thoughts

The Boyfriend Experience - Alexa just wants to fix her bread maker, but instead she gets drawn into an old case where a woman plunged to her death from escort's apartment.
The Locked Room -Alexa is drawn into another cold case when a body is found in a room where the window and doors were all locked.
Levity in Lycra - When the CFO of an empire dies in a biking accident, Alexa is called in when foul play is suspected.
Can't Stand the Heat - A culinary is killed after slipping on oil, and Alexa goes under to smoke out the killer.
Feet of Clay - Alexa gets involved in a year-old drunk driver case and the message that sent her to the spot of her demise.
Another Bloody Podcast - Alexa discovers a podcast personality may have intimate knowledge of a suspected hate killing.
Old School - When Alexa's old teacher is crushed by a boat crack, she revisits the past while working on solving his murder.
Remains to be Seen - Even when facing her own health issues, Alexa still helps out with the case of a gambling addict found in someone else's grave.
Fake Empire - Alexa tries to get out of helping on the case of a stabbed nurse, but can't resist when she learns a physic is involved.
Mirror, Mirror - Alexa takes on the case of a doctor who dies after giving himself an anti-wrinkle treatment.
I was really excited about watching this series because I've been a fan of Lucy Lawless since her Xena days, and she never disappoints. Lucy brings the wit and charisma of Alexa to life, and the mysteries leave you riveted to your seat.
