NO OFFENCE, Series 3 DVD

“Beautiful balance of seriousness and bingeability… for fans of clever cop shows” -The New York Times

“Brilliantly bracing stuff... plenty of twists and turns to keep you hooked” -Anglophenia

Hard challenges await the Friday Street Station as the “darkly comic police drama…praised for its strong female characters” (Radio Times) returns. Series 3 finds dynamic DI Vivienne Deering (Joanna ScanlanNotes on a Scandal) and her team providing security at a contentious election debate, but tragedy strikes when a gunman attempts to assassinate one of the candidates. Deering and her right-hand woman, DC Dinah Kowalska (Elaine Cassidy, Acceptable Risk), vow to apprehend the culprit, despite warnings from their superiors that the investigation could jeopardize an undercover officer who has infiltrated an extreme right-wing group. Will Deering get justice for her team, or will her unconventional policing methods finally go too far?  (DVD 2-Disc set, 6 eps, $49.99) Premiered on Acorn TV.

My Thoughts

No Offence is an exciting crime series that centers around Vivienne Deering  and a squad of female cops tackling some of the most gruesome crimes in Manchester. From drug dealers to serial killers, this team uncovers horrors that even the most seasoned cops would have trouble handling. This second season includes six exciting episodes.

Assignation Attempt - A politician is attacked during a debate. Viv tries to find the killer and figure out why its worth it to kill a candidate that didn't have a chance.

Botul in Burgers - Beckett targets children.  A batch of meat is poisoned. An undercover cop has a big secret.

Death in a Cemetery - The team is ready for trouble on election day. A man is found dead and Beckett continues to stalk them

In His Head - Deering is trying to get someone to turn into an informant, but Dennis isn't interested.

Loyalty - The Team has a new leader and things get tough. There may be a face to face meeting with Beckett.

This was a great series. I think it's one of my favorites from Acorn so far. I love the full cast of strong female characters leading the cases, and every mystery leaves you on the edge of your seat. You can grab this DVD set on Acorn Media for only $49.99. You can also find it on Amazon.
