My Thoughts
The Shield centers around a cop named Vic who works in Los Angeles. The twist on this series is that Vic is a dirty cop. As you follow him through his cases, you get to see how he breaks the rules to suit his own purposes. Yet, even though he makes many unethical choices, be often resolves serious problems. You find yourself rooting for him even when you know you shouldn't. The Shield was a great series with a great cast and consistent, quality story lines. This series is crime fighting drama at it's finest. Every case has an interesting twist, and the endings will almost always take you by surprise
This new box set brings this award-winning series to Blu-ray for the very first time. Not only does it include all 88 action-packed episodes, it also has lots of great special features. It includes lots of digital stills that will give you a look both on set and behind the scenes. There are also notes from the creator of the show and a reunion with the cast. Fans of this series will be thrilled to get their hands on this set. This was my first experience with the series, but I am hooked and I'm binge watching while I'm home for the holiday break.
