My Thoughts

The Heart Guy is a fun series that merges medical drama and comedy into one fun package. The series centers around a genius heart doctor named named Hugh Knight. His life is going great until he is arrested for a drugs charge. Now he has to return home and work in the little hospital where he grew up.  This leads to conflicts with his family, especially his ex who married his brother. Series two has ten exciting episodes.

1- Hugh heads to Sydney to watch an operation using an artificial heart he designed.

2- Hugh and Betty want to get rid of Nora. Hayley feels guilty about what she's been doing with Ajax.

3- Penny gets her job back from Nora. Haley and Ajax get engaged.

4- Penny helps out with a plane crash. Ajax gets a job at the hospital.

5- Meryl gets arrested for election tampering. Hugh has to perform surgery on a woman who doesn't speak English.

6- Hugh is jealous of Penny's relationship with Toke. Charlie considers becoming a writer.

7 - Hugh asks Penny out, but she is angry when he tests positive for drugs.

8- Jim collapses in his car because he's been skipping his dialysis. Charlie is upset about bad books reviews.

9 - Hugh is going to donate his kidney to his father. His estranged wife also makes a surprise visit.

10- Penny is discouraged by Hugh's reunion with his wife. Haley starts preparations for her wedding.
This was a great show. There is lots of drama, but also plenty of humor. I'm enjoying the gradual evolution of Hugh as he starts to come to terms with his new life and realize the errors in the way he lived before. I also love the love triangle with the brothers. I'm excited to see what happens next season.
