My Thoughts

If you are a fan of Law & Order, you're going to love its British rural counterpart, "Midsomer Murders". In the county of Midsomer, things aren't always what they seem, and there is murder lurking behind many of the well trimmed hedges. The series, which was inspired by the novels by Caroline Graham, offers a selection of murder mysteries filled with intrigue and drama. Each episode stands on its own and offers its own unique and suspenseful story-line. The set is a special release that focuses specifically on county cases.  Here's a little about each one:

The Christmas Haunting -  We're introduced to new detective, Charlie Nelson. A stabbing takes place at a house that's supposed to be haunted, but the detectives know it isn't ghosts that have everyone spooked.

Let us Pray - A reverend finds a med-evil fresco in a crypt that's threatened to be washed away by a flood. Barnaby gets involved when bodies start showing up, murdered in fresco style.

Wild Harvest - A wealthy farmer dies under mysterious circumstance and his death could be connected to a popular restaurant.

The Flying Club - When a man "falls" out of a plane, Barnaby and Nelson are called in to get to the bottom of things and discover that not everyone there is flying the straight and narrow.

The Killings at Copehagen - Barnaby heads to Copehnhagen to help out the Danish police when a local is poisoned on a  business trip.

The Daggar Club - An illustrator for a popular book is murdered and the new manuscript has vanished.

Murder by Magic -  A local church is at odds with a group of pagans and someone dies when a magic trick goes horrible wrong.

The Ballad of Midsomer County -  The head of a festival is murdered and the team must figure out it was about money or something more personal

A Vintage Murder- A party at a local vineyard is sabotaged and a body shows up.

Habeas Corpus—There's a serial body snatcher on the loose who steals an old man's body before it even gets cold.
The Incident at Cooper Hill—A forest ranger dies and it's possible aliens are involved.

Breaking the Chain—A champion cyclist is murdered and his rivals are the top suspects.

A Dying Art—A wealthy collector's body is made part of his own art show.
Saints and Sinners—An archaeologist is buried alive right after an important discovery.
Harvest of Souls—A man dies after being trampled by a horse, but it may be "foal" play.

This is a great set with some of the best episodes in the series. If you want to get the advantage of a full set of amazing  stories that will leave you on the edge of your seat, than this is the box set for you. You can order Midsomer Murders set for only $79.99 at Acorn Media or online at Amazon.
