Mickey Mouse: Merry & Scary on Disney DVD

SynopsisThe Scariest Story Ever: A Mickey Mouse Halloween Spooktacular!
For Halloween, Mickey has tricked out his house like a “tomb, sweet, tomb" and along with his pals Donald and Goofy, plans to tell hair-raising Halloween stories! However, his attempt at being scary falls flatter than a pancake. Can Mickey conjure up a truly terrifying tale before the stroke of midnight?

Duck The Halls: A Mickey Mouse Christmas Special
It’s the most wonderful time of the year…to migrate south for the winter! But Donald wants to stay put and celebrate his first Christmas with his friends. Mickey creates the ultimate list of everything to make Donald's first Christmas great, but before you can catch a snowflake on your tongue, Donald has turned into a shivering, sneezing duck-cicle!

My Thoughts

Mickey Mouse Merry & Scary is a dual DVD that brings us two different holiday specials. In the Scariest Story Ever: A Mickey Mouse Halloween Spooktacular, Mickey is getting his house ready for a scary party. But no matter how hard he tries, he can't scare his friends. In Duck the Halls, Donald wants to stay and celebrate the holidays with his friends. But ducks are supposed to fly south for the winter, and Donald could be getting himself into trouble.

In addition to these two features, the DVD set also includes five fun shorts including:

Ghoul Friend
The Boiler Room
Black & White
Emtombed
Split Decision

Overall, this is a really fun DVD. Having both the Christmas and Halloween specials makes it a great deal, plus you get all those bonus shorts. My kids loved all the characters, and I think it's neat how these new versions of the classics are starting to look more like the original versions.  One thing is for sure-Mickey and his friends will never get old. I'm sure they will be providing entertainment to families for generations to come.
