Oceanside K9 Association
The Oceanside Police Department K9 Unit was established in 1972. K-9 teams are primarily assigned to patrol duty in support of the Field Operations Division mission. K-9 teams are utilized in building and area searches, tracking, apprehension of dangerous suspects, perimeter/crowd control, officer protection and other situations in which the dogs’ special skills may be helpful.
