My Thoughts

With three cats in our household, you can say we're definitely big fans of anything feline, so Nine Lives as a big hit with our family. With movie stars like Jennifer Gardner, Kevin Spacey, and Christopher Walken, how could it fail? In this film, Tom Brand is a billionaire who gives his family everything, except his time. He's constantly letting down his wife and daughter. When her birthday rolls around, he gets his daughter a cat, hoping that will get him out of having to spend time with her. Walken sells him him the cat, and it turns out he's more than just the owner of a pet store. When Tom gets into an accident that puts him a coma, he winds up inside the body of the cat. Unless he learns the error of his ways and makes amends, he may be stuck that way forever.

This was such a cute movie. It was the feline version of the Shaggy Dog, which was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. It's funny, family friendly, and reminds us that family should always come first. My whole family enjoyed this film, and I can see it becoming a classic for generations to come, just like the Shaggy Dog.
