My Thoughts

The Jungle Book cartoon was one on my favorite movies when I was a kid. When I heard Disney was making it into a live action film, I think I was more excited than my children were. I wasn't disappointed. This film brings you into the magical and sometimes dangerous world of the jungle. Mowgli is adorable and I loved watching him leap from the trees. I especially loved his ingenuity when he was trying to get the honey down.

The animals were even more amazing. I can't even tell which parts are real animals and which are CGI, except that I know the animals can't really talk. Shere Khan was a little scary for my younger kids, but it was amazing seeing even this villain brought to life. The monkey king was hilarious, and who doesn't love Baloo? I'm so glad he still got to sing his Bear Necessities song.

This movie was fantastic, even though there were a few difference from the original. Overall, it was very exciting and fast-paced. My family and I loved it.

I love this story. It was great when I was a kid. Now with the different types of animation it is fabulous each time they remake a version of it.
