I'll say our latest family member countries s a rescue kitty..black as they are put down the most.
Her name is Purdy Gurl...because she has s so purdy and southern.

Our favorite family pet was our beautiful cat, Curious, who my son named after reading the original Curious George book. We ended up calling her KeeKee. The director of my son's after school program found her out in front of the Recreation Center one morning. She was only a few weeks old and had a broken hip. The other kittens had been slammed onto the pavement and were all dead. The mother was also dead. We took her to the vet who said her hip was alresdy starting to heal, but that she wwa too young for surgery snd wouldn't survive. We fed her from a doll's bottle using goat's milk and eventually switched to cow's milk. She dragged herself across the carpet, but eventually walked, then ran, then jumped, then climbed and leaped from one thing to the next. She lived for 22 years and we miss her every day. She died at home in my son's arms. The vet said she died of old age. She was white with Siamese type markings with huge blue kind eyes. We have a new cat now named Ziva and they are as different as day and night. We love her too, but there will never be another KeeKee. Hopefully, Ziva will be with us as long as KeeKee was.

My favorite pets EVER are my two cats, Sam and Henry. They're absolutely incredible, and adopting them (less than a year apart-- they're not related) was one of the very best things I've ever done.
But growing up, we had a black dachshund named Hoser. Everyone who met Hoser even once says how much they just loved her. She was a sweet, patient, and loving dog.

I'm not sure if you mean what kind of pet I like, which would be cats and dogs; or do you mean which of my pets is my favorite. I could never choose; I love both my cat and dog the same. My family has had pets since I was a child. I just love animals of all types (except for bugs and snakes). My dog and cat are celebrating their 3rd anniversary with me this month.

It's hard to pick a favorite pet--I don't want the others to get upset or jealous!
