Think Ahead to Summer with Platypus Australia

Are you dreaming of upcoming tropical (and warm weather) vacations perhaps for President¹s Day weekend, ski week, and spring break?  Platypus Australia is a company that makes stylish, safe swimwear and rash guards with maximum UV protection for the kids (blocking at least 97.5% of harmful UV radiation). Whether you are shopping for essentials to pack for your tropical vacation, ways to protect your kids skin in the sunshine or just looking for great swim fashion, they have you covered.

The new 2016 collection  features fun, colorful new prints and adorable silhouettes.  Think seashells, floral and flamingos for the girls and sailboats, lobsters, retro island motifs and geometric shapes for the boys.  These will be available online starting next week. For now, let's take a peak at some of the designs from the 2015 collection.

My Thoughts

With temperatures in the teens this week, it might feel like summer is a million years away. Give yourself a little taste of the warmer weather today by checking out the adorable swimwear at Platypus Australia.  I've been looking to get a head start on summer by getting a swimsuit for my daughter. We live at the Jersey shore and we spend a lot of time at the beach. So we need a suit that is made to last. Platypus Australia had just what I was searching for. The Fru Fru Swimsuit is one piece that slides right on. There are no snaps or clips and the stitches are sturdy. I also love the beautiful  design.

My son also got to pick out a pair of swim trunks. For him, we kept things simple. The plain blue Swim Shorts from Platypus Australia are simple yet elegant and give him all the protection he needs. One of the things that really turned me on to Platypus Australia is that all of their swimwear is UPF 50+, which protects their skin from the harsh rays of the sun.  That means you get style and safety in one terrific package. Here are a few other styles I love:

I am out of the loop as far as kids swim wear. All of my kids are grown. I did not know that swim wear can be UPF 50+, so that would really turn me on also to Platypus Australia. Because it protects a child's skin from the harsh rays of the sun. Style and safety in one awesome package is worth the money! The children, who modeled the swimwear are adorable & they knew how to "work it"!!
