Once Upon A Zombie Book Review

Welcome to the land of creepy fairy tales with Once Upon A Zombie!

Unexplainablenews.com is reporting strange phenomena in cemeteries in Scotland, Germany, Italy, and America. Only one individual knows what's happening—and why! This person also knows the one girl who can prevent an unspeakable and imminent catastrophe from taking place. But will she? When Caitlin Fletcher's mom disappeared (or left?) four years ago, Caitlin began suffering from breathless bouts of anxiety. Her new move to London, with her Dad and brainiac sister, threatens to lead to more situations that will trigger panic. Now, he's having anxiety over the possibility of having anxiety! Caitlin's life takes a turn for the bizarre when she's tricked into climbing down a "rabbit hole", landing in a wondrous fairy tale universe—except it's crawling with savage, starving blood-eyed zombies. But what's scarier—a blood thirsty zombie, a panic attack...or the painful truth?!

Our Thoughts

I love fairy tales, I love zombies, I love kid books and I love anything that gets my child interested in reading and this hits them all! It is a big book so it captures her attention for more than five minutes at a time, but it is also an easy read. Once she started she couldn't put it down and got to page 100 in about an hour.

It was a pleasant surprise when all the characters met up. I love the different personalities each one portrays. The story line starts off with something every kid can relate too, and that's the social anxiety school brings about. This book teaches you to accomplish your fears and have fun while doing it.

Zombies are all the rage for adults and now children can relate with the fun in a more appropriate manner. Not scary at all, very fun and the pictures you create in your mind are so detailed it's like you're really there. This book was a fun read for myself and my daughter.

The cover is beautiful as well, definitely a collectors line of books! If you take the cover off I have a red hard-backed book with the title on it still.

This book series is blowing up online! People are creating dolls and costumes to bring their favorite zombie characters to life. This brings out brand new Halloween ideas for children and adults alike, fun for all!

I got into the zombie craze for a while. I thought about if I would allow my son to learn about zombies or wait until he's a little older. I wonder if this might be one good book to do that someday. Thanks for the review.

I am thinking this would be a really great read. Zombies are all the rage, and this would be fabulous for all zombie fanatics.

Zombies are all the rage now-a-days!! TV shows, books, movies, dolls, clothing - I can't keep up! I would have to ask my kids, if my older grandkids could read this book. The younger ones might get scared.
