It’s
the scariest time of the year! The kids have their eye (and their
heart) set on a costume and you’re left to deliver. Picking out the
costume may be half the battle, but the other half
is nailing the perfect Halloween hairstyle – And undoing it at the end
of trick or treating. Panic sets in:
·
How do I give my daughter’s straight hair Little Mermaid-worthy waves?
·
What does she mean she wants an Elsa braid!?
·
There is no way I can wash this hair color out before school on Monday!
If you’ve ever been frightened by similar thoughts, know that
Fairy Tales Hair Care
is here to save you and your readers (so jump into that superwoman
suit, Mom!). Fairy Tales founder Risa Barash
has put together a hair tutorial and pro-tips for the costume clean-up –
including easy detanglers and natural color-removing shampoos. See
below and please let me know if you’re interested in featuring these
tips, tricks or treats – I would love to send over
a package of products for you.
Step 1: Prepare For Hair Greatness:
Before she puts on her costume,
wash with Super-Charge Detangling Shampoo
to prep the hair and start
with a smooth foundation (you’ll want to keep it handy to wash out
temporary hair color later, too!). Hair is actually easier to style with
after it’s been brushed and is still slightly damp. Get the hair tie
handy, and begin your style (for Elsa, follow these
8 easy steps and bravely braid away!).
Step 2: Make It Stay:
Ensure her style survives the mad dash from door to door. Once styled, spray strands all over with
Rosemary Repel Hair Spray. This all natural formula is lightweight and works to keep the
bugs (like lice) away. Make sure there will be no tricks, only
treats, when the kids return home – teach them the importance of not
swapping hats and crowns with other kids.
My Thoughts
Bathtime is becoming more and more of a struggle. My toddler's hair is getting long, and its thin and fine just like mine. And that means tangles. Lots and lots of tangles. Every time I brush her hair, its a struggle. She screams and cries, and practically throws herself off the changing table. But this isn't going to be a problem anymore thanks to the wonderful hair care products designed especially for winter from Fairy Tales Hair Care. They have shampoo, conditioner, and more that not only leaves hair soft and shiny, they also stop tangles in their tracks and some that help to prevent lice. Plus its made with only all natural ingredients.
You can order the products I reviewed or any of the wonderful products from Fairy Tales Haircare including their lice prevention products, on their website. You can also find great tips and info on head lice prevention. You can also follow them on twitter or become their fan on face book.
