Back to School with Nexcare Sensitive Skin Products

3M has  designed a new line specifically for those with sensitive and fragile skin, particularly infants to school-age children. With reliable adhesion and kind removal, the hypoallergenic products in the Nexcare Sensitive Skin collection offer an option for families of all ages that are affected by skin sensitivity.

The line was created in conjunction with research developed by Nexcare Brand on how skin sensitivity can be more than just a nuisance, it can impact day-to-day lives and activities for many families. Please find highlights of the results below, including the interesting statistic that over 9 in 10 parents (91%) report tricks that they use for helping ease the process of pulling off bandages or first aid dressing.

Nexcare™ Sensitive Skin First Aid Tape

Product Benefits and Properties: Ideal for frequent applications such as: securing medical devices, post-surgical gauze applications and wound care

My Thoughts

I always have trouble getting the tape to stay in place.  This held up great, and it didn't irritate my daughter's skin.  When it was time to remove it, it came away easily, and didn't even take any hair with it.

 Nexcare™ Sensitive Skin Eye Patch
Product Benefits and Properties: Ideal for treating amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (crossed eyes), as part of doctor recommended treatment plan

My Thoughts

I haven't had a chance to test these personally, and I hope I never need to, but they are good to have on hand. Even if you don't have sensitive skin normally, the eye area is easily irritated.  They come in both junior and regular sizes to ensure a great fit every time.
 Nexcare™ Sensitive Skin Adhesive Pads

Product Benefits and Properties: Helps protect wounds such as cuts, minor burns, abrasions and post-surgical incisions

My  Thoughts

These are the best bandages. My daughter fell and skinned her knee and I used one of these. Normally, the adhesive will irritate her skin all around the wound, leaving it red, blotchy, and itchy.  With this, we had no issues at all. Her skin around the wound stayed smooth and there were no tears when I had to take the bandage off at bath-time.
