With summer on the way, women everywhere are starting to think about their bikini zone. No one wants embarrassing hair peeking out of the folds, but shaving that sensitive area is a hassle and can lead to itchy razor-burn. EpiSlim from Emjoi has a better solution. The EpiSlim is a compact epilator that easily removes hair by the roots. The result is smooth, hair-free skin that can last up to six weeks.
I tried out the Epi Slim+ e18 and I can't deny the results are impressive. It certainly does what it says. You simply roll the device around on the area were you wish to remove the hair. There are eighteen tweezers in this model, and they all work at the same time to remove the hairs. It definitely works. The first place I tried it, was on a mole on my arm that always gets a few embarrassing hairs on it. It tore them out instantly, and over a week later, there is no sign of regrowth. I think its perfect for small areas like this.
I also tried it on my bikini zone, but here, I had mixed results. Does it work? Yes. But it HURTS. Maybe its because the skin is this area is more sensitive. It's not unbearable. Its a little less painful than waxing, but it also takes way longer. In addition, it made me bleed in every spot where I removed hair. The bright side is there was no itchy irritation afterward, like with a razor. Despite the bleeding, it wasn't painful later.
Keep in mind that you can't shave your full leg with this. Well, you can, but based on my experience, it would take days because you're only removing a few hairs at a time. I wouldn't use it on my whole bikini zone either because it takes too long and hurts too much, but I have another mole on my upper thigh, and its always hard to shave there, so this works great for a quick removal in that area. For small patches of hair that you want gone fast, it's a great tool.
The Epi Slim+ e18is only one of the models available from Emjoi. They have many different options, and some of the larger ones may prove to offer better/faster results in larger areas. To see all they have to offer, be sure to visit their website or follow them on face book.
