Breath Deep Cover Reveal

Genre: Young Adult
Sequel to Deep Green

When you're recalled to life, the first thing to do is breathe...

Leah is alive, which is saying a lot after the last few months. She's faced terrorists, starvation, wild animals, and an assault. Not to mention being marooned for months on an island. Being alive right now is a big deal. Who knew that reentering civilization would be such a struggle?

Her attacker stalks Leah’s nightmares. Paparazzi stalk her waking hours. The goals she worked years toward have unraveled in the months she’s been gone. Her parents look at her like she’s a zombie, risen from the dead (and sometimes she feels that way). She should be able to relate to the other survivors, but one has become a media darling and the other is having even more trouble than Leah acclimating.

Can the castaways rebuild their lives in a world that assumed they were dead? Can romance move forward when the only thing they have in common is the past? Will Leah settle for the distractions of modern life? Or will she find a purpose and a voice?

Praise for Deep Green:

“The author addresses prejudice, abuse, and relationships with men in a way that makes it easy for the target audience to relate to... Leah’s courage and spirit are uplifting. This is a beautiful story and is well written. As a teacher of middle grade students, I would encourage teenage girls to read this adventure.” – Once Upon A YA Book

“Deep intrigue and intense plot are carefully weaved throughout the story...I see similar qualities to the Life of Pi, as Haddad adds intellectual reflection and discussion from her main characters, and is why I would recommend this book to an audience beyond YA.” – A Little Something to Chew On

~About the Author~

Trisha Haddad was born and raised in Southern California. Although she romanticizes snowy climates and mountain towns, she simply can’t tear herself away from the year-around sunshine of her native state.

After graduating from Vanguard University of Southern California, she began a career in scholarly publishing. After the excitement of working all day with a team of talented folks, she gets to come home to the sweetness and fun of a home filled with “The Guys” (her husband and their little sons).

She writes at night on an old Mac in room with poetry framed on the walls, surrounded by many shelves of books. Four of the books on those shelves are ones she wrote: Breathe Deep, Deep Green, Nihon Nights (with Monica Haddad), and Best of Luck Elsewhere.
