- Stuffy nose? Use steam for relief.
You don’t need a fancy humidifier to ease congestion (though it can be convenient!). Slowly breathing in steam from a pot of boiling water can work wonders! Just make sure to be very careful — you don’t want to burn your nose! - Make it spicy.
Incorporate lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, rosemary, cloves, pepper and ginger into your sick-day diet. Spices are natural ways to help boost your immune system and fight off viruses and diseases. Some other ingredients to include? Garlic, honey and coconut oil. Check out some more natural cold medicine. - Try chicken noodle soup.
A nice hot bowl of chicken noodle soup might be just what you need to fight off that virus. It’s a delicious home remedy that’s medically backed to help ease cold symptoms. Check out some of our Cold-EEZE Cold Remedy-approved tasty recipes by visiting us on Pinterest, and make sure to include plenty of veggies! - Make your own nasal spray.
It’s easy and takes a matter of minutes! Simply mix 3 teaspoons of iodide-free salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda and then add 1 teaspoon of the mixture to 8 ounces of warm boiled water to create your own nasal spray solution. Use a bulb syringe to gently squirt the mixture into each of your nostrils, while holding the other one closed, and letting them drain. This will help clear nasal congestion as well as remove virus particles and bacteria! - And of course, drink plenty of fluids.
It’s so important to stay hydrated, especially when you’re sick. By drinking plenty of fluids regularly, you can help break up congestion and ease a sore throat. Some great options include water, herbal teas, natural juices (no sugar!) and ginger ale. Also be sure to check out some of our favorite healthy hydration recipes.
My Thoughts:
I
received a few samples of Cold-Eeze to try out including the spray and it arrived just in time
because I was catching a cold from the kids. This is a unique form of
homeopathic medicine. As soon as you feel a cold coming on, just spray a
few squirts around the inside of your mouth and you feel it working
instantly. It relieves sore and scratchy throats and really does shorten
a cold. For me the bug only lasted a few days, but my husband has had
it over a week because he didn't want to give Cold-Eeze a try. It even
tastes pretty good, as far as medicine goes.
If
you don't like the idea of the spray formula, the Cold-Eeeze Immune
Support is a great product to try out. They have a tasty citrus flavor
that goes down pretty easy and actually melt in your mouth. No big pills
to swallow. They fight your symptoms and shorten your symptoms by
several day. For colds that make it hard to sleep, the Daytime/Nighttime
formula offers two different doses. One that will help you sleep
without being habit forming and one that won't slow you down during the
day. Last but not least, their strawberry and cream flavored Lozenges
are the tastiest medicine I ever tried. My teenagers wanted to eat them
like candy! But the thing I like the best about Cold-Eeze is that their
products are homeopathic. I don't feel like I'm putting poison in my
body when I use them, so they make me feel better in more ways than one.

I like that they have different products to take.
I've tried Cold Eeze before and I can't say whether it helped or not, lol I think I was close to the end of a cold when I tried it so I'm not sure if it worked or the cold just ran it's natural course. My mom had always taken a zinc tablet when she felt she was getting a cold, and this product is zinc based. Maybe Mom was right after all, lol ;)
I WILL TRY THIS PRODUCT NEXT TIME I GET A COLD. THE OTHER TIPS WERE ALSO GOOD ONES.
I haven't yet tried Cold Ease. I will have to remember it the next time I start feeling sick.
I have tried Cold-Eeze before, but I had no idea they now have daytime & nighttime products. That would be a bonus!
I love home remedies! And I've tried this product and I love it!
That is one of the few things my son will take. It doesn't taste bad.
I have tried Cold Eeze and I do think it helps shorten a cold
