Valentine's Day Gift Guide - Nerd Block Jr. - Review & #Giveaway

Is your child a gamer or a movie geek? Do they love comics or super heroes? If you answered yes to any of these questions, than the Nerd Block Jr. subscription box is the perfect Valentine's Day gift for them. It doesn't matter if you have a boy or girl, because there are awesome boxes geared to both genders. Each one is loaded with fun surprises every month. There are toys, collectibles, stickers, and so much more, all featuring your favorite characters from television, movies, comics, video games and more.

I have both a boy and girl geek, and I wasn't sure which box to choose, so Nerd Box Jr decided to be extra awesome and send me one of each. First, let's talk about the boy's box. My son just turned twelve, and even though he's slightly over the recommended age limit, he still loved everything inside this box. There were tons of awesome things.

Johnny Test was one of his favorite shows, and you can't find many toys for it anymore. This package comes with two collectible action figures. Since my son collects this type of toy, he decided to leave the box sealed.

Next there were two eggs in the box that held a collectible Harry Potter figurine. Which one you get is a surprise every time.

No one likes to get hurt, but if you need a first aid kit, having the Avengers on the box is a sure way to make your child feel better. This set is the perfect size to store in your purse or for older kids to stick in their backpack.

My son's favorite item this month was the Transformers Mash'Ems. These are tons of squishy fun.

Last but not least, you can get a surprise D &D Kre-O figure. This is another one my son wanted to keep unopened, but inside is one of twelve collectible figures.

That wraps up the boy stuff. So let's move on to the girl's box. My daughter is five and she was just thrilled with it. A few items were similar or the same as the boy's goodies. She got the same two Harry Pottery figurines as well as a first aid kit, only her kit featured Hello Kitty instead of the Avengers.

Like most little girls her age, she is obsessed with Frozen, so of course the Olaf TY beanie was her favorite part of this package.

Another fun item was the minion finger puppet. This is another great movie and my daughter was thrilled to get her very own minion.

The last item in our girl's box was a Shopkins. We already collect these so it was great to add one more to our collection. We got a can of soda, but every one will be different. It even came with a little shopping bag.

That wraps up each of our Nerd Block Jr. boxes. At only $13.99 per month, you have to agree this is a pretty good deal! If you bought all these toys individually, they would cost at least $20 or more. It's even less if you opt for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription plan. Plus, getting the box is a fun treat for kids. It's a little something to remind them that you're always thinking about them each month.
