Raw Diet Purveyor Introduces Homestyle Complete Dinners For Dogs

MANCHESTER, Conn. – In the wake of a series of announcements introducing pet parents to their new logo, slogan and packaging redesign, Bravo® has one more. New HomestyleComplete™ Dinners for Dogs are the first freeze dried dinners to be added to the company’s extensive raw diet line.

Created to uniquely meet the nutritional needs of dogs of every age and breed, these great tasting recipes feature premium meat or poultry as the #1 ingredient. Then Bravo adds wholesome ingredients like organ meat and chickpeas plus a generous helping of garden vegetables and cranberries, as well as natural herbs such as turmeric and sage. Homestyle Complete Dinners are available in three different proteins – Beef, Pork and Turkey. Each dinner, which is 100% complete and balanced, is low in fat and is grain and gluten free. No artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors of any kind are inside.

These freeze dried dinners are an exceptionally healthful and convenient new way to provide dogs with all the benefits of a raw diet. Since freeze drying doesn’t degrade essential proteins, fatty acids or enzymes, all the ingredients’ original nutritive value is retained in the most bioavailable form. And since Homestyle Complete Dinners don’t have to be refrigerated, pet parents can take them wherever they go. When mealtime comes around, just mix with warm water or light broth, let soak for 15 minutes, and serve.

Homestyle Complete Dinners for Dogs are available in 3oz resealable packets as well as 2lb and 6lb resealable bags at independentretailers starting at $5.49. Pet parents interested in learning more about this healthy new alternative to conventional canine diets are invited to visit www.BravoPetFoods.com.

Our Thoughts
We've been raw feeding our Rottweiler, Lola, for 5 years now, after she had a hard-to-control yeast infection brought on by an allergy to wheat.  She also has a stage 5 heart murmur, so we want to keep her as healthy as we possibly can.  We've had other dogs with food allergies, but didn't know about raw feeding until the end stage of one of our girls' life - cancer.  Commercial dog food is just what you feed a dog, right?  It's how it's done.  That's what we've all been taught - but, in truth, dogs do so much better on raw - as long as you do it right with balanced nutrition.  There's a lot to learn about nutrition when you're raw feeding a dog.
While raw feeding has wonderful health benefits, it's not the most convenient.  We buy raw food in bulk and then every couple of weeks, I put together various "food bags" I can thaw when I need to.  This also means whenever we travel with our dog, she needs her own cooler of food, too.  And living in the Midwest, I worry about things like tornadoes, and have an emergency supply stash in our basement just in case.  I currently have a stash of grain-free commercial dog food for just such a thing, but I've been looking for a better option.  Commercial dog food will go stale, but freeze dried and sealed will last a very long time!
Bravo's Homestyle Complete has fantastic raw-feeding ingredients!  As one of Lola's food allergies is pork, Bravo sent us the Turkey variety to try.  And it smells good upon opening the bag, too - not like that icky commercial dog food smell.  Lola was very excited about her Bravo dinner!
That smells good, Mom.  Please may I have some??
This is what the Turkey dinner looked like when first in the water.
Soaking up the water!  LOL, it does look kinda gross here. But, remember it DOES contain freeze-dried, ground meat.

Please, please, please don't make me wait for this!!
MMMMMMM YUMMY!!!
Lola was a big fan!  She spent quite some time making sure her bowl was licked CLEAN.  Comparing feeding fresh-raw with freeze-dried raw, the Bravo dinners are cost-prohibitive for full-time feeding a large breed dog (Lola is 78 lbs, and would eat approximately 3 cups per day), however they are a great alternative to the prep and mess of raw feeding for tiny dogs.  I think they would make an excellent travel or emergency stash,  or even fed as an occasional treat!  Don't know what to get your dog for a holiday present?  Try a Bravo Homestyle Complete dinner!
