LivingPlug INLET Review

Pumpkins, Ghosts, Cats – Oh My!
LivingPlug Energy Efficient INLET Kills the Vampire this Halloween
New Multi-purpose Tamper-resistant Outlet for Halloween Decorating

No tricks – all treats for seasonal home decorators as San Francisco-based LivingPlug introduces its Halloween line of decorative faceplates for its multi-use, energy-efficient and child-proof INLET. With a mission to help consumers take a bite out of utility bills, LivingPlug created the INLET to help reduce “Vampire Charges” caused when electronics suck power even when turned off. The INLET is tamper-resistant which provides parents with an extra assurance when child-proofing their home.

The INLET turns a standard outlet into three receptacles plus a USB source and features the “UNplug button” which shuts off power and eliminates the need to physically UNplug devices from the outlet. The Company estimates consumers can reduce their electrical bill 15-25% by using the “UNplug” button.

The Company steps into the multi-billion dollar Halloween market where candy may lead but costumes, novelty items, and home decor continue to take a bite at year-over-year sales.

LivingPlug offers hundreds of designs ranging from nature scenes, graphic prints, noted artists, inspirational quotes, holiday and seasonal, as well as a line of children’s inspired looks.

To help reduce “Vampire Charges,” the Company released several Halloween-inspired designs. Choose from a Happy PumpkinSilly GhostHaunted House, and variety of fall scenes to decorate before the first Trick-or-Treaters arrive. Additionally, the company offers a line of Christmas to holiday season designs.

The LivingPlug INLET retails for $25 and each faceplate is $25. The Company delivers on DIY as well: upload a personal photo, school mascot, or favorite quote and LivingPlug will create a customized faceplate.

Our Thoughts

In our house we need to have some extra outlets for our devices usually. It's almost always because one of us has a device that is at the end of it's battery, too. With the LivingPlug INLET we don't have to sacrifice an outlet to use the USB brick for our iPhones or iPads.

What's even nicer is that the LivingPlug makes it so little fingers don't necessarily know that there is an outlet or USB port to play with since there are face covers that you can change out on the INLET. The INLET does cover both outlets when plugged into one so it has three outlets on the bottom side and a USB port on the top side. It also has a power button that turns off the power to the outlets when you're not using it to conserve energy. Who doesn't want to conserve energy?!

I really recommend the LivingPlug INLET for those of you that have little fingers or will have little fingers who enjoy trying to find your outlets! You can see all the options available on the LivingPlug website. You can follow LivingPlug on Facebook and Twitter, too!
