My Thoughts
My tween son was thrilled with the KO Robot. Back when I was a kid, there was something similar. There were two plastic guys in the ring and if you pressed the levers, they would punch each other. KO Robot has brought that classic toy into the 21st century.
There are two different battle modes with this game. The first lets kids get in a little practice. But when you get into battle mode, there is no stopping this action. With the realistic sound of an announcer in the background, you'll hear grunts and punches every time you strike. Hit your opponent hard enough and he'll actually fly right out of the ring.
KO Robot has all the challenge of a video game, but it's more hands on. My son loved playing with his friend. The sound effects made him laugh, and it's challenging enough that it keeps him coming back for more. If you're looking to get a head start on your holiday shopping, this is a great choice for boys.
