DVD Review: Martin Clune's Wild Life

Martin Clunes’s Wild Life - Collection of five nature documentaries hosted by the Doc Martin star. Fan favorite Martin Clunes shows a softer side in these five documentaries about animals. Filmed all over the globe, these programs are a fascinating peek at some of the world’s most beloved (and some of the most endangered) creatures. Programs: A Man and His Dogs, Horsepower, Man to Manta, The Lemurs of Madagascar, and A Lion Called Mugie. The value-priced collection includes five full-length documentaries. (DVD 2-Disc Set). Available on Acorn TV.

My Thoughts

Martin's Clune's Wild Life is an amazing box set that takes you into the world of animals alongside Doc Martin star Martin Clune. There are five exciting episodes in this series that give you a look at animals in their natural habitats. Each one is beautiful and awe-inspiring. Episodes include:

A Man & His Dogs - This episode explores the relationship between dogs and wolves and how man might have domesticated these wild animals. You also get a look at some different canines in different parts of the world.

Heavy Horsepower - There are more horses working today then you may realize ad this show gives you a look at how horses are still in use. From the Amish countryside to the Belgium coast, you can see how amazing and powerful these animals truly are.

Man to Manta - Go under water in the Indian Ocean and get a real look at the manta ray's habitat. You'll also witness a very human reaction from Martin Clune's.

The Lemurs of Madagascar - My kids loved this one because it brought one of their favorite movies to life. They got to see how the real lemurs live in Madagascar and what is being  done to try to keep their population flourishing.

A Lion Called Mugie - Clune helps release a lion cub back into the wild with unexpected results. Don't' want to give too much away, but it shows that nature can never be predicted..

All five of these documentaries were beautifully shot, fun to watch, and educational.  Martin Clune's is the perfect host. My whole family enjoyed watching and learning more about the beautiful animals who share our world.
