My Thoughts

My Monopoly is a fun twist on an old classic. It includes all your favorite aspects of the original game, including colored money, silver tokens (though they are plastic), red hotels, and green houses. But this game also allows you to customize it for your own family.  Just log onto the website and create an account. In a few simple steps, you can create custom property spaces, game tokens, Community Chest and Chance cards. You can add your family photos, name the streets after the roads in your own neighborhood or even add funny captions. The game includes sticker sheets that you can print your game pieces on.

My children loved being able to personalize their favorite game. The process was simple and my twelve year old son did most of it on his own. Once you have the stickers printed, you put them on tiles that slide into the game board. The only downside to this being they are small and easy to lose. Once the stickers are in place, they are also difficult to remove. You do have the option of leaving the properties with the same traditional streets of Atlantic City they always used. One of the things I was happy about was that, despite being able to customize the game, it still has the straightforward, simple rules I'm used to. Sometimes when new versions are released on classic games, it's frustrating to get used to a new set of rules. This game gives us everything we love about Monopoly with the option to make it more personal. Its a fun way to make Family Game Night even more memorable.
