Spruce Up Your Home Decor with Air Plants - Review & #Giveaway

A house doesn't feel like a home without a few plants. I haven't had the best luck with plants, but I do have a spider plant, bamboo, and cactus that I haven't killed yet. I still wanted to get a few more, but with limited time and space, I was particular about what I chose. When I heard about the air plants from The Air Plant Shop, I knew they were the perfect choice for me.

Air plants are beautifully colored exotic plants that thrive in a variety of different environments. They are also very simple to care for. You don't have to worry if you forget to water them one day, because they only need water a few times a month. You allow them to soak for about half an hour, and they are good to go. Aside from that, all they need is air and sunlight. You don't have to use messy potting soil.  Just place them in the display once they have thoroughly dried.

Speaking of the displays, these are what makes The Air Plant Shop so unique. They pair their beautiful plants with equally lovely enclosures. I picked out a set of five plants that arrived in a variety of different seashells and urchins. I love the combination of plants and shells. It's like bringing the elements of earth and water together in ceremonious harmony.  I have my little air plants spread out in all my favorite spots, and seeing them always brightens my day. I've had them about two weeks, and even after being shipped through the mail, they are still strong and hearty.

In addition to the seashells, you can also choose from a variety of terrarium, wood or even magnet enclosures. Because of the minimal maintenance, they are a great choice for office space as well as your home. To see the full selection of plants at The Air Plant Shop, be sure to visit their website or follow them on face book or twitter.
