Hatchery - The Box for Foodies this Mother's Day

Moms should be celebrated everyday so why not start a monthly tradition this Mother's Day with Hatchery, a monthly food subscription service.

For the foodie family and those aspiring to spend more quality time together, offer your mom a Hatchery subscription. Each Hatchery box offers the opportunity to discover fresh new flavors and spend time cooking together. For $25 a month, members will receive a curated selection of 5-6 sample sized artisanal ingredients and condiments delivered to their doorstep.

Along with those ingredients, you and your mom will receive recipe ideas via a digital cookbook and the online marketplace. From a yummy Spanish omelette with wild mushrooms to a greek yogurt blueberry cheesecake, Hatchery offers a range of recipes to satisfy every palette.

The small-batch producers Hatchery partners with usually don't offer their products in sample sizes, so Hatchery members receive exclusive product for their Tasting Boxes.

These products are only found in small farmer's markets across the US.

My Thoughts

I love trying out new new condiments. They can add a whole new dimension to even your most mundane meals. Hatchery gives you the opportunity to sample delicious condiments from a variety of gourmet companies with their unique subscription service. For only $25 a month, you can receive a sampling of sauces, spices, jellies and more, allowing you to try some of the coolest products on the market and see which ones you enjoy the most without a lot of out of pocket expense.

I received an Hatchery Box to try out and I was pretty impressed with the selection. The package is a little smaller than a shoe box, but it's packed with tons of tasty treats. It even includes an insert with information on each product and the people who create them. As an added bonus, they threw in a set of tiny wooden spoons perfect for the sample size jars.

This month's box included:

Strawberry Chipotle Jam
Sweet & Smoky Barbeque Sauce
Ohia Lehau Honey
Jalapeno Garlic Oil
Oleman's Original Blend Spice Rub
Fuego Salsa

Some of these brands I was familiar with, but most were completely new to me.  There was really something for everyone in my family in this box. My daughter loves the Strawberry Chipotle and my son devoured the Salsa. We all loved the Oleman's Rub on our pork tenderloin. The all-natural honey made in Hawaii was a great addition to my tea. What makes this box such a great deal is that you can try so many new things for one low price. Buying the full size versions is a big investment and you may not like them. This way, you can sample a variety of new products and buy your favorites without worrying it will go to waste.

If you're looking to try out some new condiments and want a unique experience, you should definitely give Hatchery a try. To see what's coming up in next month's box, be sure to visit their website. To keep up with new products and promotions, follow them on face book, pinterest, or twitter.

I love the sizes of these products! Perfect for a sample! The sauces, jams and other gourmet condiments all sound really unique and interesting! Strawberry Chipotle and salsa are just the type of ingredients I'd enjoy to experiment with while cooking!

Looks good to me. It's funny how a condiment (or 2) can change up a whole dish from something dull to an exciting taste treat. I may just have to treat myself to this!
