Create a New Mother's Day tradition with Gift A Feast

Gift A Feast celebrates Mom with a gift set of scrumptious treats sure to inspire breakfast in bed this Mother’s Day. No waiting in a long line at a neighborhood breakfast cafe or taking a chance on that new cafe without a line. Instead, Gift A Feast’s ‘Feast for Mom’ features one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, sweet and savory goodies from the San Francisco Bay Area’s thriving food scene wrapped into a gorgeous gift set, includes a handwritten note card with the gift giver’s personal message and ships nationwide. No impersonal e-cards or gift certificates.

Gift A Feast’s new ‘Feast for Mom’ includes Rustic Bakery’s Vanilla Almond Granola, a jar of June Taylor jam handmade from freshly picked, in-season fruit; Orange and Cranberry Scone Mix from Bay Area breakfast icon Bette’s Diner, and Coco Tutti’s rose-shaped, dark chocolate truffles in strawberry, blackberry, tayberry and raspberry. Simply add yogurt to the granola, and eggs, butter and milk to the scone mix and Mom will enjoy a San Francisco-style brunch in bed.

Gift givers can select beautiful wrapping from a wide range of decadent papers to create a beribboned gift set, accompanied by a hand written note with the feast giver’s message. ‘Feast for Mom’ is $49.95, not including shipping. For shipping nationwide, it must be ordered by Tuesday, May 6 for arrival by Saturday, May 10. San Francisco Bay Area residents may order by Friday, May 8.

My Thoughts

Gift a Feast is a wonderful way to give a unique gift to a special lady in your life. They've searched for some of the best gourmet products made by San Fransisco Artisans and bring them together in one fabulous gift package, giving people across the country the chance to try San Francisco's finest. I was able to sample one of their selections first hand, and I was very impressed with the experience.

Our Gift a Feast package arrived beautiful wrapped in stunning black and white paper that is suitable for any occasion. Presentation is definitely important, so getting a ready made gift that comes beautifully wrapped is a definite plus in my book. Even the tissue paper inside the box matches the color scheme.

Even though I hated to ruin the beautiful wrapping, what I found inside the box was even better. The first box had a package of vanilla almond granola. Each package is handmade by the Rustic Bakery and chock full of nuts and vanilla flavor. You can shovel it in by the mouthful, add some milk for a tasty cereal, or add a little to your yogurt. There are plenty of ways to enjoy this healthy snack.

The larger box contained three culinary delights. The first is a delicious jam you'll love spreading on toast or even the scones that are the next item in the box. The jam is made from organic fruits with only a little organic sugar. June Taylor, the creator of the jams, has even been featured on the Martha Stewart show, a fact I learned because very package from Gift a Feast includes a set of cards telling you all about each creation.

Also in this package were a four pack of Coco Tutti candies. These mouth watering truffles pair perfectly with a nice glass of wine. They look as good as they taste, with each one carved in the shape of a flower. I almost hated to bite into them...almost.

Finally, the gift set came with a package of scone mix from Bette's Oceanview Diner. You can create them in just a few easy steps and they come out perfectly every time. They are great for breakfast or as a nighttime treat with a cup of coffee. They are made with the same ingredients as the fresh-baked scones from the diner in San Francisco and since there is a line every morning, you know you're in for a treat.

Well, that wraps up this feast, but there are plenty of other tasty options available. To see all the gift selections Gift a Feast has to offer, be sure to visit their website. At Gift a Feast there is an option for every budget and a guaranteed smile in every box!
