Urth Box - Monthly Subscription Service for Discovering Healthy Foods

***Complimentary product received in exchange for an honest review***

UrthBox, a monthly subscription service that helps consumers discover healthy foods and beverages, today announced their official launch. Each month, UrthBox members will be shipped a box of up to 20 hand-picked food and beverage products available in Standard, Gluten-Free, Diet, Vegan or Snacker options. Members may purchase more of what they love in local stores or in the UrthBox shop at special discounts.
Each month, UrthBox members will receive hand-curated healthy products from existing and up-and-coming brands with an emphasis on organic, all natural and non-GMO products.  Each product undergoes a panel review of ingredients, sources, calories and nutritional benefits prior to selection.  Shipments are accompanied by a product summary that highlights each product’s benefits and notes specific local stores that carry the product.

For at home, on-the-go or at the office, UrthBox currently offers five box options including Standard, Gluten-Free, Vegan, Diet and Snacker.  Boxes start at just $19 a month and members do not pay a shipping fee. Subscribers can also purchase more of what they love at the UrthBox Shop or local stores with big member only discounts.

My Thoughts

I love trying out healthy snacks, but let's face it, not all of them are going to be a fit for every person. When you buy all-natural products, they are more expensive than most store brands, so you want to make sure it's worth the purchase price before you buy. Urth Box offers a unique subscription service that allows you to sample a variety of all-natural, earth friendly and organic products each month. For the low price of only $18 a month, a new selection gets shipped to your door, allowing you to sample some of the best all natural products on the market and see which ones you enjoy the most.
I received an Urth Box to try out and I was pretty impressed with the selection. The package is a little smaller than a shoe box, but it's packed with tons of tasty treats. Keeping with their green theme, the box is also made entirely from recyclable material.

This month's box included selections from:

Popchips
Lenny & Larry's
Mrs. May's
Orgain
Pur Gum
Pure Bar
Coco Libre
Pro Bar
Snack Factory
Prince of Peace Tea
Twinings of London Tea

Some of these brands I was familiar with and a few I've even reviewed on this blog, but the flavors were varieties I hadn't had a chance to try yet. Other brands I never heard of before getting my Urth Box. One of the new items was a Pomegranate Raspberry Crunch concoction from Mrs. May's and it was really delicious. There was really something for everyone in my family in this box. My daughter loves the chili-lime pop chips and my son devoured the Lenny & Larry's Giant Oatmeal Cookie. There wasn't anything in this batch that someone didn't enjoy and I know I'll be looking for many of these brands in my local store. Urth Box even makes it easy for you to track down the items because they include a list off all the products and the stores where you can find them.

If you're looking to try out some new snacks and you want to make healthy choices without a lot of guess work, you should definitely give Urth Box a try.

***Please note that I received no form of monetary compensation for this post. I did receive a sample of the product to try in order to write a fair and honest review. The opinions expressed in this review are my own and were not influenced in any way. ***

This company has the worst customer service ever.

I just moved and I changed my address on the website the only place you can change it. I get the tracking info for my August boxes, I'm subscribed to three boxes, and I check to see where my boxes are. Tracking info says they've been delivered, they shipped them to the old address though.

Obviously I'm pretty disappointed so I email them letting them know what happened. They respond saying that I should have emailed them to change my shipping address and that if I want my August boxes I will have to pay $6 more per box for them to be shipped to the correct address, the address that I had already changed on their website which says NOTHING anywhere as far as having to email them to change your shipping location.

I let them know that I thought it was pretty messed up how they were handling this situation considering it was their error and their website issues that caused it to happen. To which they let me know that they would be adding a note to their website to email them if you need to change your shipping address. Yet are still requiring that I pay them another $18 on top of the already $70+ that I paid for my August boxes.

Now they've stopped responding to me and are censoring me from their Facebook page.

This is a terrible company with terrible standards, they will not last long.
