Introducing Crabtree & Evelyn's newest scent, West Indian Lime. It promises the "zesty scent of fresh limes and vetiver, a native ingredient of the British West Indies. Blended with warm spices and a deep, woody base note, this collection is as sophisticated as it is distinctive."
Let's see if it stood up to the test of my hubby's face....Below is what I received from this collection and hubby's two SCENTS.
What they say: A traditional shave soap in a bowl, formulated with vitamin E to help condition the skin. Add warm water to create a rich, creamy lather.
What my husband says: "Good luck finding a brush. I used a washcloth and the lather was weak."
He didn't have much else to say about this. I scoured a few nearby stores and could not find a shaving brush. I asked around and most people said they haven't seen one since their granddaddies' days. The instructions said a washcloth should do the trick, but according to hubby, it didn't. My advice: If you purchase this product, be sure to buy a brush while you're on the site. It's the only place I could find one. I mean, I'm not buying that on ebay. You don't know where their faces have been!
Shave Cream 100g ($15.00)
What they say: This shave cream in a tube contains moisturizing agents to prevent dryness, as well as vitamin E, known to help soothe razor burns and irritations.
What the hubby says: "Great lather, great scent, and unlike other shaving creams, it doesn't dry my face out."
According to him, even shaving creams with the promised aloe ingredients leave his skin feeling dry afterward. So he was pleased with this. He would keep this item in stock.
Aftershave Balm 100ml ($32.00)
What they say: This alcohol-free West Indian Lime Aftershave Balm contains sweet almond oil and shea butter to help leave skin moisturized and scented with a distinctive spicy fragrance.
What they say: This alcohol-free West Indian Lime Aftershave Balm contains sweet almond oil and shea butter to help leave skin moisturized and scented with a distinctive spicy fragrance.
What the hubby says: "I like it. I put it on my skin and it kept me moisturized the entire day."
What I say: It smells wonderful and his skin feel's like a baby's behind.
So did it pass the husband test? The shave cream and aftershave balm did. The shave soap no, but as I said, he didn't have the right brush.
