My Thoughts

When I was a little girl, I spent hours reading the Berenstain Bears picture books and I have read many of them with my children. So we were excited to have a chance to see the characters we love come to life on the small screen. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the Limited Edition Berenstain Bears: Golden Brother Edition. This DVD set will be hitting shelves on May 21st exclusively at Walmart and Sam's Club.

Before we even got the DVD open, my kids were already excited about the collectible stuffed plush of Brother Bear that comes along with the disc.  Its the perfect toy to cuddle while we sat on the couch and watched the show. The disc itself includes two hours of brotherly fun. What I really loved is that every episode taught an important lesson. In one show, Brother was always late and even after his parents bought him a watch, he still wasn't paying attention to the time. But after he misses a special event, he finally learns the importance of time management.  Brother also learns that its never smart to give into peer pressure, that money can't make the place of family and friendship, and that sometimes helping out your neighbors can be a lot of fun. Even Papa Bear learns some lessons, like not to eat his food too fast so he wouldn't get the hiccups.  We also get a glimpse of the bears' life prior to moving into their tree house when they lived in a cave.

These are only a few examples of the episodes on the disc. There are many more! The Gold Brother Edition is a great set with lots of fun shows. Its a wonderful way to spend family movie night. Remember, this set is only available for limited time, so be sure to grab your copy before they are all gone.
