Believe the unbelievable. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment presents a groundbreaking cinematic experience you will have to see to believe when LIFE OF PI debuts on stunning Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD from March 8 internationally and on March 12 in North America. Based on the acclaimed best-selling novel from Yann Martel that has been published in 40 languages, and brought to life by visionary Academy Award winning director Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), this magical adventure of hope, wonder, survival, and the power of the human spirit has been celebrated by critics all over the world.

A “magnificent and moving” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone) motion picture event that has been hailed as “a masterpiece” (Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times), taking in over $500 million in worldwide box office.  LIFE OF PI follows Pi Patel, a young man on a fateful voyage who, after a spectacular disaster, is marooned on a lifeboat with the only other survivor, a fearsome 450 lb Bengal Tiger named Richard Parker. Our Thoughts

Life of Pi takes you on the amazing adventure. A young castaway is stranded on a life boat with a Bengal Tiger. The film starts out in  India where you learn a little bit about Pi's family and his quest for spirituality. I loved how he followed a variety of religions, embracing their similarities instead of focusing on their differences. This strong faith is what helped him to handle the trials that followed. His father decides his family must leave India behind, and they take the entire menagerie from their zoo along with them. When the boat sinks, Pi finds himself on an ark of sorts with a few captive animals. Instead of letting being stranded with a carnivore destroy him, the tiger gives him a reason outside of himself to keep fighting, even though he is out on the water for over two hundreds days. Even when the story has ended, you're still left with questions that may never be answered. Was Pi really on the boat with animals or was it metaphor for something much more traumatic? Either way, Life of Pi is a film that confirms the power of faith and reminds us that we all have the strength inside of us to overcome even the most impossible situations.
