Getting Fit with NutriSystem Week #4 #NSNation

This has been another challenging week for me.   Tons of doctor appointments for my two youngest kids meant less exercise than I had planned on. I also caught the cold the baby had, and was guzzling tea. I didn't even look at the calories. It was either drink hot tea or hack up a lung, so I figured why torture myself about it.  This week was also my wedding anniversary, and my husband and I went out to dinner. This is the first time since the baby was born we went out alone together, so I cheated a little.  I ordered a Greek salad and French onion soup. I actually only ate about half of each, but I have no idea if they or good or bad choices. I just wanted to have fun and not worry about my weight for one day.  I'm sure we all have days like that.

So after all that cheating this week, I still managed to go down a little. I was at 144.8 last Friday. I am now at 143.6.  So I lost a little less than 1 pound.  But while I haven't got my hands on a tape measure to figure out by exact waistline, I can tell its gotten a little smaller. I have a few pairs of pants in size 9 that were a little tight, and I am getting into them without having to hold my breath now. But my goal is to get back into my normal size, which is a size 7. I have no doubts that I will reach this goal before the four month NutriSystem program is completed. I only need to lose 10-13 more pounds. In his first month I have lost a total of 5 pounds.

So for this week's top pick, let's talk about one of my favorite parts of the day. Dessert! I had thought snacks would be sacrificed for good when I signed up for the program, but I can still get a daily dose of sweet in a wide range of varieties. My favorite so far are the Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies. "What's better than chocolate chip cookies? Chocolate chip cookies with chunky walnuts! These crunchy cookies, packed with chocolate chips, have the home-baked goodness of butter and eggs, the sweetness of brown sugar with the flavor and richness of walnuts. Better still, these bite-sized treats come in a convenient snack pack, so you can relax with a glass of your favorite skim milk or enjoy them on-the-go."
