Holiday Gift Guide - Wappy Dog for Nintendo DS Review

My children are part of a generation that is all about electronics and technology. When it comes to toys, the only thing they want are video games and interactive "robots".  Thanks to Activision, you can get both for one low price. Their new release, Wappy Dog for Nintendo DS, is destined to be one of the most popular video games of all time, at least in my family's opinion.  It provides a whole new level of interaction by allowing kids to play in both the real and the virtual world simultaneously.

Wappy Dog is the perfect way to teach your children how to take care of a puppy.  The DS game allows you to train your puppy to to do tricks and obey commands. You can play with it, feed it, wash it, and more. There have been lots of games that did this over the years, but Wappy Dog is unique.  And not only because it comes with a real robotic dog. The game will respond to a myraid of conversational prompts. There are hundreds of different responses including barking and tail wagging. The more your puppy evolves, the more tricks he will learn. But you have to keep him happy by giving him proper care. To help you along the way, your puppy will give you hints to its mood. For example, when he's angry his cheeks will turn red. As he matures, you will see changes in his mood, reactions, and even his voice. Just like a real dog!

Another unique feature of the Wappy Dog,  is that you can play with the physical pet both at home with the DS and on the go.  Just switch it to travel mode, and care for the Wappy Dog anywhere you go.  With the set, you can even get stickers to decorate and personalize your dog in the same way that you can accessorize your virtual pet. Some other great features are the ability to sing up to sixteen different songs, barking translation via the DS, tons of mini games, and a guaranteed personalized experience for every player. I have never been much of a video game player myself, but I have to admit, even I am hooked on this one!

If you have a child who would love to get this game for the holidays, it is available in stores nationwide including WalMart, Target and Game Stop for only $49.99. You can also find the game, dog, and decorative sticker set online at Amazon for only $78.99. This fun and interactive toy is in high demand this holiday season, so get yours today before you miss out!
