Our Thoughts: Its not often that a sequel outshines the original, but my children and I both agree that Cars 2 has done just that. While Lightning McQueen does return in this movie, the story features more on the funny and lovable Mater, who was always my favorite character. The two journey to Italy where they meet some interesting new characters like Finn McMissile and Holly Shiftwell. This time around Mater gets his turn at a little romance, and there is definitely lots of action. This was one of those movies that I enjoyed almost as much as the kids. Its funny and face paced, and leaves you on the edge of your seat. I have read some other reviews where there was some concern that there was too much violence for small children, but while there was a little gunfire, its certainly wouldn't deter me from recommending it. This is a fun film that is a great choice for family movie night.

Nice review of Cars 2, it was right on. I watched it last night with my kids and the absolutely loved it. If you are into letting your kids watch safe and fun movies, then Cars 2 is movie to let them see if they haven’t seen it already. One way you can let them see it is by using the new Blockbuster Movie Pass. Right now if you switch to DISH Network you can get the Blockbuster pass FREE for 3 months! There are over 100,000 titles to choose from. As a DISH Network customer and employee I can tell you that if you’re in the mood for movies not in your queue, that’s no problem!
