Summer Birthday Bash! Build A Dream Playhouses Review & Giveaway

Its not always easy being a green mama when so many of the toys out there are made with materials that are sometimes toxic and almost always bad for the environment. Well recently, I came across some really cool little playhouses that I think are perfect for children of all ages. The company is called Build a Dream Playhouses. Their products are not only environmentally friendly but wallet friendly as well.

Build a Dream Playhouses offers a variety of cute and unique cardboard playhouses including ice cream trucks, kitchen sets, castles and more.  I love this idea for several reasons. First of all, I've had those little plastic playhouses before. They never last for more than a year or two before the kids outgrow them. Then you have a pretty large piece of garbage that is going to sit in a landfill somewhere. Even if you pass it down to another child or a friend, eventually that is where it will wind up. But with the cardboard playhouse, it is easy to recycle once your child has outgrown it. Another thing that makes this item unique is that your child can decorate it themselves. This makes for a fun filled art project that will last for days. Then there is the price. With prices as low as $40, you are saving a bundle over the plastic playhouses that can run several hundred dollars.

For our review, we picked out the Snack Shack.  Its actually really sturdy and very easy to assemble. My 10 year old daughter put it together on her own. Then my two older children set to the task of decorating it. They spent three days coloring and picking out stickers to adorn their creation. They are very proud of the end result.  They set it up outside at my mom's house because lots of people walk by on their way  to and from the beach. Their "customers" raved over their adorable stand, and they made a whopping $20 selling their lemonade!  Overall, I think the Snack Shack and all the other cardboard playhouses would make wonderful gifts for children of all ages that encourages creativity and imaginative play.
