Healthy snacks aren't that easy to find. Especially snacks that kids will want to eat. When I got the chance to review Peeled Snacks, I knew I was going to like them because I've never had any form of fruit I didn't like. But I was really suprised when my kids loved these chewy treats as much as I did. Now that Earth Day is coming up, I know exactly what treats we'll be picking up to take with us to our annual Earth Day picnic at our county park.
My kids have become mini bloggers so as soon as we get a package, they are right there to see what the next adventure will be. When our package of Peeled Snacks arrived, they asked what they were. I told them they were a fruit snack. Its not a lie. They are fruit and a snack. Its not my fault if they were thinking they were like the gummy candies that some companies try to pass off as a healthy snack. Of course, they couldn't wait to try them. My daughter took the cherry and my son picked the apple. They ate the whole bag in under a minute. I was so happy to see how much they liked them because Peeled Snacks are 100% real fruit, are gluten free, are unprocessed and provide a good source of fiber. They are also a nice switch from the crunchy dried fruits I usually eat. I especially loved the cherry. They are my favorite fruits and I've never had them dried before.
If you are interested in trying out Peeled Snacks for yourself, they are available in their online store or you can get them at one of my favorite places--Starbucks! Not only are they a great healthy snack that is a natural source of fiber, but they also give back. 10% off their profits go to the American Farmland Trust. Make sure to follow them on face book and twitter to keep up with the latest promotions. For Earth Day you can save 15% off the farmer's market trio and the Organic American Farms Sampler both US farm sourced snacks. You can also get free shipping by entering the code ecosnacks at checkout. These are fun tasty snacks that your whole family can enjoy and you can feel good about serving so make sure to add them to your Earth Day celebration.
