Red Envelope Mr. Beer Premium Home Brewery Review & $50 GC Giveaway
If there is one thing I'm famous for in my circle of family and friends, its getting the coolest presents for people. I like to give gifts that are personal and show people that I know something about their personality and what they like. Its makes them feel special and makes me feel like I really accomplished something. One of my favorite online stores for finding unique gifts is Red Envelope. Their beautiful gifts are available for such great prices they turn any occassion into something to celebrate.
We were lucky enough to get to choose one item from the Red Envelope website to review. Since it was right around Father's Day, I let my hubby pick something. He chose the Mr. Beer Home Brewing Kit. This is the perfect gift for any beer lover. Going through the process of making it as well as drinking it makes it lots of fun. Plus in todays economy, its a great way to save money. The brewing kit makes 2 full gallons of beer at one time. Its definitely cheaper than buying beer in the store. Plus you're helping the enviroment by reusing the bottles.
This is just one example of so many amazing choices at Red Envelope. They have tons of beautiful jewelry, gifts for kids & babies, and home decor. Many of their items can even be personalized. If you need a gift for someone special, now would be the perfect time to go shopping at Red Envelope. New Age Mama readers are being offered an exclusive discount. Just enter the code 10OFFRED at checkout and you will receive 10% off your order.
As if that isn't generous enough, Red Envelope has also offered to give one of my readers a $50 Gift Certificate! Please note the promo code does not apply to gift cards or certificates, same-day or international deliveries, or third-party hosted products (e.g. wine, Bose products). The promo code shall be applied at checkout and cannot be combined with other offers or discounts. To enter, please visit Red Envelope and tell me what you would buy if you were the lucky winner. Electrolux and Kelly Ripa Host "Splits For a Cause"
Kelly Ripa and Electrolux are joining forces once again to celebrate the launch of Electrolux Appliance's new stand-alone refrigerator and freezer - that's right, the familiar duo has split up. And to sweeten the celebration, they're bringing in the "Emperor of Ice Cream" Stephen Bruce, owner and founder of Serendipity 3, the landmark New York City restaurant and dessert spot, into the mix.
Kelly and Bruce teamed up earlier today to make banana splits for a cause. And now we want you to dig in, with your virtual spoon! Starting today, Kelly Confidental, you can build your ultimate banana split using virtual ingredients from classic whipped cream to caramel sauce to rainbow sprinkles. For each "split", Electrolux will donate $1 to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund as part of its $750,000 commitment to help fight ovarian cancer.
As usual, Electrolux and Kelly find new and fun ways to say thank you to those who support this great cause. Everyone who logs on to the site and builds a split will be automatically entered for a chance to win the daily prize - $50 towards sweet summer treats - and the grand prize: the new stand-alone refrigerator and freezer from Electrolux.
***Please note that my posting this information I will be entered to win my very own stand-alone refrigerator and freezer from Electrolux and Mom Select! I received no monetary compensation.****

Glass Dharma Straws Review
My kids are always asking to use straws when they are having a drink. Its something that makes them feel special and grown up. But in my efforts to go green, I stopped buying plastic straws because it seemed like an unneccessary waste. Even reusing them seemed impossible because they would get moldy inside and there really wasn't any way to clean them. So for the last few years my family has been strawless. Something that, I admit, even I missed on occasion. Especially when I was having a milk shake or a smoothie. But now I can go back to straws again thanks to the amazing glass straws available at Glass Dharma.
The beautiful straws from Glass Dharma run anywhere from $8 to $12 per straw. This may seen expensive at first glance, but consider the alternative for just a minute. A box 100 straws probably costs around $5. But eventually you'll go through that box and they will be gone--piling up in a landfill somewhere or becoming a part of the Great Pacific Garbage patch I mentioned a few days ago. With the Dharma Glass straws, just a few will last for years. So in the long term, you are saving money as well as saving Mother Earth.
If you would like to learn more about Dharma Glass Straws, you can visit their website. You can also follow them on twitter or become their fan on face book. Dharma Glass is a great way to take a stand and start living green. If you want to make a big difference in one small simple step, check them out today.Posted by GabbyLowe at 4:17 PM 0 comments Links to this post

Summer Birthday Bash! Dancing Deer Bakery Happy Birthday Cookie Sampler Review
My son is a little odd. He's one of the only kids alive who doesn't like to eat cake. So on his birthday I have to get other treats like cookies or brownies to make him happy. Since I'm not much a baker myself, a great place for me to get my son his birthday goodies is the Dancing Deer Baking Co. Their variety packs taste great and are made with only the best ingredients.
We were lucky enough to get to try out the Happy Birthday Cookie Sampler. The sampler comes with four varieties-Molasses Clove, Cherry Almond Ginger Chew, Chocolate Tangerine and Sugar Cane Lime. These cookies really offer your tastebuds a special treat. The flavor combinations are unique and work well together to create cookies that aren't overly sweet. The sampler is packaged in an adorable wooden box and even comes with some pretty yellow candles.
Another great gift idea for the sports lover in your life is their brand new limited edition baseball tins. They can choose either brownies or baseball shaped cookies, and the tins themselves are great for collectors. Also check out their Patriotic Star Cookies to add a little extra flare to your 4th of July spread.
If you would like to learn more about Dancing Deer Bakery and all they have to offer, visit their website. You can also become their fan on face book to keep up with the latest sales and promotions. If you love fresh baked treats, you'll want to keep Dancing Deer bookmarked for all your special occasions.Posted by GabbyLowe at 11:30 AM 0 comments Links to this post

Calabasas Candy Co Review & Giveaway
Etsy is always such a great place to find new and interesting things. I always like trying out new candies, and handmade candy is always better than anything store bought. So I was very excited to try out the delicious candies from Calabasas Candy Co. Their candies are so yummy and unique they actually attracted the attention of L.A. Magazine. Calabasas candies were featured on their A list.
For our review, I got to try out their Peruvian Chocolate Caramellow. This combines my two favorite treats-rich dark chocolate and vanilla marshallow. Their candies defintely have a unique taste. They aren't quite like anything else I have ever tried. And I mean that in a good way. They are so light and creamy, they literally melt in your mouth. Everyone in my house loved them from my hubby to my seven-year-old. You can get 15 pieces of this luxurious treat for just $9.00.
Calabasas Candy Co. have some other really unique combinations that I have never seen anywhere else and that really grab my attention. D-n-D Ranch Aromas Review & Giveaway
If you're anything like me, you always have to have a candle burning in the house. A scented candle really helps put you in the mood for the season, no matter that season may be. A pleasant scent brightens up the house and a warm flame is relaxing. I especially enjoy trying out handmade candles. So when D-n-D Ranch Aromas asked me to review thier candles I was excited to give them a try. They have lots of tradational scents, but also some unique combinations like Queen B and Summer Delight. Candles are available in jars, jellys, and tins. You even have the option to personalize tins with your own pictures.
For my review, I received the Essence of Herbs Candle. This candle includes a combination of lemongrass, sage and citrus. It was a very uplighting scent and really made me feel energized. I've had this candle for almost a week and I've only used about half of it. That's pretty good since I burn them several hours a day. The scent is powerful without being overbearing. It filled the whole house with its sweet fragrance. I even love the beautiful tin container it came in. I will defintely be using it for something once the candle burns out. These are candles that will give even the most popular brands a run for their money. And the prices are much more reasonable. Check out their Candle of the Month club for the chance to try out a variety of great scents.
How would you like to try out some of these awesome candles for yourself? One lucky winner will receive one 6oz candle, a set of tea lights (12 in a package), and a package of votives (2 in a pack) in the scent of their choice. To enter, you must vist the D-n-D Ranch Aromas and tell me your favorite scent. For additional entries you can do any of the following but you must complete this initial entry first. Any entries that do not follow these guidelines will be deleted. 3) Follow my blog on friend connect
