Holiday Gift Guide - My Father's Hands Review & Giveaway

In this technological age, its so nice to find companies that still do things the old fashioned way. My grandmother always used to tell me stories about how even though her family was poor during the depression, they always had toys because her father would widdle them out of wood. Unfortunately, no one in future generations of my family has had that same talent. But luckily for me there are artists out there who have kept this tradition alive. At My Father's Hands, you can find beautiful hand-crafted toys that are eco-friendly and fun for children of all ages.

For our review, we received one of the Road Graders. Since the second it arrived, it became Willow's favorite new toy. It may not have flashing lights or play music,  but its the very simplicity that makes it such a wonderful toy.  Willow loves to push it back and forth, and once its nice out, we can use it outside. It has a working pivotal blade that will actually push around dirt or sand.  Its put together very well, and I'm sure with proper care we can pass it down to her children some day. A classic toy like this is something that we will definitely want to keep in the family.

The Road Grader is only one of several wooden trucks that are available at My Father's Hands. Prices range from $35 to $95, which may seem a little high. But you have to remember that these are not just toys but handmade works of art. No two are exactly alike. And unlike today's plastic toys, they are going to last forever. They are definitely an investment worth making.

In honor of the holiday season, one lucky winner is going to receive a $30 Gift Certificate to the website. Please note it does not cover shipping costs. To enter this giveaway, please visit My Father's Hands and tell me your favorite item. For additional entries, you can do any of the following, but you must complete this initial entry first.
