Holiday Gift Guide - My Puppet Show Review

Kids love books. They love puppets and stuffed animals. They love to color, write stories, and they love to watch DVDs. This holiday season.,why not get them one gift that combines all these activies in one fun package. With the My Puppet Show collection, that is exactly what you will be getting. Their puppet sets will provide hours of interactive play for your children.

For our review, we received the Diggity Dog Puppet Book which is only one of several characters available. Dippity is a hand puppet that you can use to narrate the story books available from My Puppet Show. You simply slide his head through the opening and use the convenient Velcro to attach any number of storybooks. I thought the interchangeable books was a interesting and unique feature. You can actually change stories within the hardback book so things always stay interesting. Once you have your chosen story in place, you can give Diggity his own unique voice and expressions as you read the story. When you're done reading, Diggity is also detachable so kids can take him along wherever they go.

Along with Diggity we received three books. One is a book called Let's Go Camping which is a brightly illustrated and exciting story of Diggity's camping trip with his siblings. Then there was Get Dog Smart. This story is all about dog bite prevention and is told in a way that makes it easy for kids to understand. But in addition to that, its a coloring book. One that they can read and attach to their puppet show long after all the pages are colored. And lastly, we received a Story Starter, which is filled with mostly blanks lines so kids can write their own story about Diggity' camping trip.

As if all that isn't enough, Diggity comes with one more great item. A fun DVD where the creator Lisa LeLeu herself reads all the wonderful stories in the My Puppet Show line, with a little help from all her furry friends. Some of the other character who make an appearance are  Scooter the Cat, Frency the Frog, Moo Moo the Cow and more.  All in all, this is an amazing puppet show set that would make an excellent gift for children of all ages. It even won the Top Toy of  the Year Award from Creative Child Management. All three of my children, whose ages range from one to ten, enjoyed playing, reading and creating together with My Puppet Show. So head on over to their website today and grab one up for your kids! You won't regret it!
