Holiday Gift Guide - Lights, Camera, Action Board Game Review
We love playing board games in our house. I enjoy finding games that are unique, and Lisa Leleu Studios is a wonderful little shop to find games and toys that bring out your child's unique qualities. I think we all have a little drama queen in us at times. A great game for anyone with a flare for the dramatic is Lights, Camera Action. This fun game is available at Lisa LeLeu for only $24.99 and is a fun and exciting way to provide hours of entertainment for your family.
The game comes with everything you need to bring the big screen to life right in your own home including an authentic movie clapboard, two script books, cards, game board and game pieces. The object of the game is to get your game piece to the center star of the board first. The best actor in each scene will get to move their piece forward, but its not as easy as it seems. You have to read your part from the scene without laughing, hesitating or falling out of character for a second. If you do, whoever is playing the role of director can yell "CUT!" and your opponent will get to move forward.
But wait there's more. Each of the two players who are reading the scene will have to pick a twist card. These cards give you instructions like, "Act like you're walking on hot sand" or "Pretend you're a friendly dog." There are also cards that allow you or your opponent to decide what your task will be. The challenge comes in trying to complete the scene and the task simultaneously. But at the same time that completing your task makes it more challenging for you, it also gives you the chance to be so funny that it makes your opponent laugh and lose the round.
My children and I had so much fun playing this game. The scenes are fun and a great way to encourage reading. The tasks are hilarious and who wins in the end doesn't even matter. Take a look at the scene my daughter and I did together. We were acting out a scene called "Fast Food Frenzy". The other players got to choose the task for each of us. My son wanted Gabby to pick her nose, and Gabby wanted me to be a mime stuck in a box. This was the crazy result.
Lights, Camera, Action is only one of dozens of unique gift ideas you can find at Lisa LeLeu Studios. They pride themselves on creating the best toys and games out there. Things that really encourage kid's imaginations and creativity. To learn more about this great company and all they have to offer, you can visit their website. If you want to give a gift this holiday season that the whole family can enjoy, then Lights, Camera, Action is a wonderful choice.
