Hygeia Breast Pump Review

Being a breast feeding mom is a wonderful, bonding experience. But just because its natural doesn't mean its always easy.  There are times when a sleepy baby just doesn't want to latch on. Or you might be a working mom who is away from home for eight hours a day. When things like this happen your breasts came become engorged which is really painful.  Breast pumps are supposed to be one solution to problems like this, but sometimes they only make things worse. When your breasts are already tender, who wants to have suction cups attached to them? Any mom who has ever used a pump will probably flinch when they hear that awful grinding sound of a breast pump at work.  I used to hate pumping my milk, until last week when I received my Hygeia Breast Pump.

The Hygeia Breast Pump is a one of my best finds of my blogging experience. Before this, I was using a dinky little breast pump that practically brought tears to my eyes whenever I used it. On slow speed nothing would come out, on high, I felt like it was going to rip my breast right off.  But with Hygeia, I barely even feel the suction, even on high. Yet the bottles get filled up in about half the time it takes with my old pump. It is also a hands free pump. So I can get something else done while I'm pumping, even if its just reading a book or working on my blog.  And when you have a new baby in the house, every second is precious. Plus it has a feature I've never seen with any other pump. It has a C.A.R.E button that allows you to record your baby's cry to assist with let down. This is a wonderful feature for working mothers. Its no exaggeration for me to say that I'm really in love with the Hygeia Breast Pump.

So, you might be thinking that the things I've said aren't that big a deal and maybe some other pumps work just as well for you.  Well, Hygeia has some other benefits that other brands might not offer.  First of all, they have a risk-free 21 day trial. If you aren't happy you can return the pump for a full refund.  It comes with a personal accessory kit that allows you to safely share your pump with others. The company also offers a three year limited warranty, the best in the industry. And something that is always important to New Age Mama, Hygeia is a green company whose products are BPA/DEHP free, making them safe for our babies and good for the enviroment.

The Hygeia pump is available on their online website for $299.  While you're visiting, you can also find some great tips and information for breast feeding moms.  You can also learn when its best to buy or rent a breast pump, and take a took at the other products they have available. Become their fan on facebook to keep up with the latest news and promotions. The Hygeia Breat Pump is defintely a product I would recommend for any breast feeding mother, and I encourage you to consider them if you are in the market for a pump.

I was so impressed with their ethics, morals, goals and beliefs! I have never actually felt a sense of pride for a company before, but I was truly proud of them and what they were doing! It truly means a lot to me! I mean, we have to do what we can to protect our planet in every way we can, right? And the more we do, the better it is! Something small, like opting for a reusable breast pump like hygeia's can make a huge difference, if EVERYONE does it! So, spread the word!

I loved their pump. Have you ever tried other electric pumps? I have tried a million bajillion pumps. I started out with the avent isis... Which was good for occasional use, and mostly just to relieve pressure, rather than actually extract milk for the purpose of storage. And then after a severe bout of mastitis, I made my husband get me a medela pump in style, which I loved, but I didn't like being stuck next to an outlet, and how it was difficult to use on the go. So, when I had my son, I upgraded to a medela freestyle, which I loved. It's portable, easy to use, and comfortable. I absolutely loved it. However, I heard of hygeia and decided to ask them if they'd let me review it. And I'll be honest... I didn't think it was possible for any pump to outrank my freestyle, so you can imagine my surprise when I ended up liking hygeia's pump even more than my medela freestyle! They've definitely converted me!

Anyways, I just wanted to show you some comment love!
