Fashion Playtes Review

My daughter considers herself to be a real fashionista. She can spend hours playing her designer game on her DS and she takes forever to pick out her outfits each morning. So when I told her I found a website where she could design her own clothes for real at Fashion Playtes, she was beyond excited.  

On the Fashion Playtes website you are able to choose from almost twenty different types of apparrel and accessories.  Once you pick out the piece you want to work with, you can add ribbons, rhinestones, appliques, and even personalized labels. My daughter and I logged on and registered for an account which is simple and completely free. Then I let my daughter go about her business and design a few outfits.   You can design as many  as you like at no cost. You only pay if you decide to purchase the piece you designed.  My daughter had so much fun designing her clothes, she must have been online for at least two hours. She made one of each of the patterns they offer.  Unfortunately, I can't really afford to buy all of them at once, so I had her choose her favorite, which was The Fiona Fleece Poncho.

We had received a $25 gift certificate for the review, and this particular item cost more than $40 including the shipping.  But my daughter loved it so much I thought it was worth the extra expense. This is one of the more expensive items. There are plenty of items you can get for less.  The poncho arrived in just over a week, which is pretty good considering  it had to be made to order. The materials are high quality and very comfortable. My daughter adores it and got lots of compliments when she wore it to school today.  I promised  her that we will go back to Fashion Playtes every few months so she can add to her personalized wardrobe.  In the meantime, she can design as many things as she likes on their website so we have plenty to choose from.

If you have a little girl this is a great site to visit. If you are looking for a unique gift, they have gift certificates starting at $25. The 10! Show on NBC even named them the top stylish gift under $50.  To keep track of what's going on at Fashion Playtes, become their fan on Face Book.  They often have contests and specials you'll want to know about.  We were defintely pleased with the whole experience at Fashion Playtes. The online designing was a blast and the end product is something my daughter will treasure for years.
