My Thoughts
Let me just start of by saying this -- BEST. VACUUM. EVER. If I had to chose between this vacuum and my husband, he seriously might lose. The Shark Rotator simplifies my life a lot more than he does. Right off the bat, I was happy about the easy assembly. While the amount of pieces seemed intimidating at first, most of them are attachments. The main appendages snapped together in just a few easy steps. No tools required.
Once complete the Shark Rotator offers a wide range of options. You can use it as an upright vacuum for a quick run around the living room or switch to a canister for more detailed cleaning. The variety of attachments, tubes, and nozzles allowed access to all areas of the home. With the detachable lightweight base, even the steps are a breeze. In upright position it has a swivel handle that turns easily with your movements. The attachments not only clean floors but work great getting dust off the blinds, cleaning in between sofa cushions and even sucking up cat litter from tiled floors. There are other little perks as well, like what my son calls "headlights" at the edge of the upright that allows you to see what you're doing under the bed or in other dark spots. It also has a quiet motor that won't be as likely to wake up the kids if you're trying to get some quick cleaning done at nap-time.
When it comes to suction, this baby can suck it up. There was nothing it couldn't handle. Clumps or dog hair, a whole box of spilled cheerios. I'm embarrassed to admit I even sucked up a DS game and a sock from under the sofa without ever losing suction. Luckily, I was able to retrieve them from the canister which is another great feature. As soon as it's full you can just dump it in the trash. No messy bags to replace. I know it really gave me a deep down clean, because the canister was filled in just a few minutes, even though I had vacuumed with my old machine just the day before.
One of the absolute coolest features of this vacuum is the removable canister. While using attachments, you can wheel it around on the rolling base or detach it completely. So you can carry it anywhere, including your car. The Shark Rotator comes complete with a bonus car detailing kit, allowing you access to even the tightest nooks and crannies of your vehicle.
I have to say, my experience so far with his vacuum has been stellar. I really can't think of a single thing that would improve the experience. It's lightweight but still sturdy, powerful and easy to use. I just love everything about it. I can safely say it will earn a spot in my top five review products for 2013 for sure.
