Celebrate National Tooth Fairy Day with PLAYMOBIL

While the Tooth Fairy may be a myth in many households, the magic is very much alive for the little ones. February 28th is National Tooth Fairy Day and the PLAYMOBIL Tooth Fairy (5381) play set is excellent for children who are crossing the big kid threshold. 

At some time or another, all of us have been visited by the Tooth Fairy and although it may be a bitter sweet moment for adults, it’s a magical moment for kids. Perfect for that moment of tooth, the PLAYMOBIL Tooth Fairy set includes a customizable tooth box with a name tag and rhinestone for kids to slip right under their pillow. The set also features a PLAYMOBIL Tooth Fairy figure and wand for every day play. 

My Thoughts

These Tooth Dairy sets are really awesome, and perfect for my daughter who has several loose teeth right now.   Each one comes with one tooth fairy character and all the accessories she needs including a wand and wings.  It also comes with a really cute little box shaped like a tooth. Kids can use this to store their real teeth when they wait for the tooth fairy to come visit!

Assembly was very simple. There aren't a whole lot of pieces, and my daughter was able to assemble it independently.  In addition to assembling the blocks, you also have to add the stickers.  It  took maybe  two minutes, and allowed for hours of interactive play. Once assembled, the pieces stay together well. My daughter is very happy with her fairy and is even more exited about loosing her next tooth.  These are a great idea, and should definitely be added to your  Valentine's Day wish list. Of course, it'a also a great way to celebrate National Tooth Fairy Day on February 28th!

Book review: The Society of Season Secretkeepers

My Thoughts

Both of my children are older. I have a daughter who is almost 9, and she's been my one to question Santa the most. Then I have an 11 year old son. He's a go with whatever you tell him sort of kid. I recently told him the truth about Santa, The Easter Bunny, and Tooth Fairy. I figured since he was in middle school, it was time to know the truth.

I enlisted him with this book when it came and reminded him that he wasn't to tell his sister anything. Even though s he questions it, she does still believe. He was happy to get this because to him, it was all his, something he didn't have to share, and he held a secret.

He read this fairly quickly and enjoyed the activities that came with it. I think some of it might be geared toward someone a little younger than him with the activities, but he still had a good time, and really enjoyed the book and learning new things about the traditions of Santa, Tooth Fairy, and Easter Bunny.
