Holiday Gift Gudie - Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil

I love moisturizers, but I love them even better when there are more natural or organic alternatives, and this one sounded like a great option. The Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil has a number of great ingredients that are meant to help your skin get the moisture it needs. This particular product contains argan oil, strawberry extract, broccoli extract and more.

I tried this oil on my fave, hands, and feet. While I wasn't blown away with the way my face and hands responded to it, I have to say that I absolutely love what it did for my feet. They tend to get really dry and cracked, which is so uncomfortable. This happens even when I am scrubbing them in the shower. After one use of this, I noticed a big difference. My feet look a lot smoother and feel so much better. I would definitely use this product again.

As for the other areas I used it on, the difference was not as big, but I will say that I like the way it feels. It's an oil-based product, but it didn't feel as oily to me as some lotions out there. It also only required me to use a small amount of the liquid to get some results, which I like. Overall, I would say to give this one a chance.

Spruce Up Your Home Decor with Air Plants - Review & #Giveaway

A house doesn't feel like a home without a few plants. I haven't had the best luck with plants, but I do have a spider plant, bamboo, and cactus that I haven't killed yet. I still wanted to get a few more, but with limited time and space, I was particular about what I chose. When I heard about the air plants from The Air Plant Shop, I knew they were the perfect choice for me.

Air plants are beautifully colored exotic plants that thrive in a variety of different environments. They are also very simple to care for. You don't have to worry if you forget to water them one day, because they only need water a few times a month. You allow them to soak for about half an hour, and they are good to go. Aside from that, all they need is air and sunlight. You don't have to use messy potting soil.  Just place them in the display once they have thoroughly dried.

Speaking of the displays, these are what makes The Air Plant Shop so unique. They pair their beautiful plants with equally lovely enclosures. I picked out a set of five plants that arrived in a variety of different seashells and urchins. I love the combination of plants and shells. It's like bringing the elements of earth and water together in ceremonious harmony.  I have my little air plants spread out in all my favorite spots, and seeing them always brightens my day. I've had them about two weeks, and even after being shipped through the mail, they are still strong and hearty.

In addition to the seashells, you can also choose from a variety of terrarium, wood or even magnet enclosures. Because of the minimal maintenance, they are a great choice for office space as well as your home. To see the full selection of plants at The Air Plant Shop, be sure to visit their website or follow them on face book or twitter.

My Thoughts

With winter closing in on us and the outside world slumbering, it's nice to bring a little life into your home. Chuckle Farm offers you a way to embrace nature all year long with their eco-friendly plants. Several are even edible and can help you start your own homesteading project.

I received the one of the items from the Terrarium Collection. This is an awesome gift idea for kids and adults alike. You are pretty much creating your own Eco-system in a bottle, which makes a great educational tool for children. And anyone with a green thumb will enjoy cultivating their moss. Each set comes with everything you need to get started, including dormant moss, rocks, and soil as well as easy to follow instructions.  Once its set up, its easy to take care of. I really love the fact that the bottle used is a re-purposed wine bottle. What a great way to recycle! The plant seems almost magnified by the glass. It makes a wonderful display piece and even a great focal point for meditations. Its easy to imagine you're walking through that field of green moss.

I really love the items at Chuckle Farm and I'm sure to go back to get more sets for some of my nature-loving friends. This is definitely a unique gift for the person who has everything. And the best part is, with Chuckle Farm, you are being green in more ways than one!
