My Thoughts

Okay so if anyone has read some of my other reviews, they know that my husband and I are big grillers. My father in law is practically a pit-master smoker and griller. We enjoy it and do it often. We always knew we were going to get out son some sort of grill toy. This one is so adorable. My son really likes it, and was giggling when I was pretending to "eat" one of the burgers after I put together.

It come with steak, chicken, burgers with the fixins, vegetables like asparagus, and the tools. It is great too, because you can put everything in the bowl of grill when you are not playing with it and cover the grill with the grate. The only thing I wish is that the grill grate had some way to snap on to the bowl when you weren't using. It would make transferring it easier. It is a great summer toy. This way the baby can be right alongside Daddy, grilling with him.

Holiday Gift Guide -Rockboard Scooter

If you have a grade school child or a tween, you probably know that scooters are the in thing right now. I barely ever see kids riding on bikes anymore. It's always scooters. There are tons of different ones out there. Some of them are motorized, and some can even convert into a skateboard. But the coolest scooter I have come across to date is the Rockboard. While it can be used as a regular foot push scooter, it also  provides revolutionary propulsion without the need for batteries or gasoline.

We were lucky enough to receive an amazing Rockboard to review and my son was thrilled with it. It arrived just the other day, and I thought it would be awhile before I would be able to try it out because I'm not the best at putting things together. But I was excited to see it was pretty easy to assemble.  Just add the handles to the base and it's ready to go. You can leave the board down and use it as a regular kick scooter, or you can really fly by putting up the rocker mechanism.  It works kind of like a sea saw by pumping the board up and down which keeps you moving at a much faster pace than kicking alone.

It took a few tries, but my son got the hang the scooter pretty quickly. He is thirteen. Younger kids may  need a little more practice.  It takes a lot of balance to stay on and pump the device hard enough to keep it going. I actually like the idea of it being challenging. You can't use a skateboard the first time you try it either. The Rockboard is encouraging my son to work hard and it will help improve his  balance and coordination. It also gets him up off his butt and away from the video games for awhile.

The Rockboard is available in a variety of fun colors including orange, pink, blue, and white. It comes in both regular size for kids eight and up as well as a mini version for younger kids. If you want to get one for your own child, they are available in retailers nationwide including Target and Toys R Us. They can also be purchased online at Target.com and Amazon.com. To find a retailer near you, you can visit their website. If you'd like to learn more about the Rockboard and all the fabulous products they offer,  be sure to visit their website or follow them via social media.

Pump Rocket Air Archer Air-Powered Bow & Rocket Set with EZ-Pull Bungee Power

Product was received for free in exchange for an honest review.

The Air Archer, with its flexible, bow-like arm, dramatically increases the power of the pump rocket launcher. To operate, simply pull back the launcher piston, stretching the elastic bow string attached to the ends of the bow. When it’s fully drawn back, let go and the rocket goes screaming off into the air at a great speed.

The Bungee Blast ramps up the fun and excitement by an order of magnitude. A patented elastic bungee cord inside the pump cylinder boosts the launching power. Load a foam rocket into one end and pull back the cylinder, feeling the increasing tension of the cord inside. Then let go. Kids will be amazed as the stored energy of the cord pushes the piston of air very forcefully, blasting the rocket out at hyper-speed.

My thoughts:

My eight year old loves this.  It is very easy to use.  He puts the foam rocket onto the one end, than pulls back on the cylinder as far back as he can, and than lets go.  And the foam rocket goes flying.

This is a very well made, durable toy for boys as well as girls.  The bungee pull isn't to hard for a kid to pull back on.  The foam rocket is well made also.  It is made heavy duty foam, and when it hits a harder surface, it keeps it shape, without bending or breaking.  And the rocket goes flying at a fast speed towards target intended.

This is a very fun rocket launder toy.  My son even took his to the beach to play with his eleven year old sister with it.  She had a blast shooting it also. I, even had fun launching the rocket.  And it doesn't hurt it hits you on the body.  A definite must have for any kid.
